Anyone work for Toys R Us?

Just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on some upcoming deals? I made use of the "buy 1 get 1" deal on the games. Was just wondering if you know of anything else like that coming up.

We very rarely get to see the ads until a couple of days ahead of time. I don't know of any big specials that are coming up. The "Big Book" should be starting pretty soon (normally early November and we don't get to see that one until the night before it starts), so keep your eyes open for that. Sorry I can't be more help!

They tend to run the same sales from year to year. I am trying to recall when the K'nex go on sale.

While getting my price match adjustment for an item I paid full price, I was told that Toys R Us will not be offering it's price match guarantee on Black Friday - or the two weeks following it.
So read the fine print on the ad flyers - it is supposed to be stated in the ads.

Wow! I had not heard that, guess I better ask when I go to work. I am very surprised as we always price match, so long as it is for a price and not a % off or special deal.

I go to Toys r us because of the price match on Black Friday. That just stinks.

I just got off the phone with my manager and she says she has not heard anything about this. Not to say that it can't be true, but as far as my store goes, it's not. I have to say the company would be real dumb if they did do this. That would just kill a company IMHO.

My thoughts exactly. I tend to only shop sale items or the things I can't get at the big box stores. If they hadn't price matched my Gameboy Games, I would have returned them & driven to Best Buys - it was an $8 price difference and I bought two games. (Leafgreen & Firered - one for each of my boys.)
