Anyone with tattoo makeup experience? Not a debate!!!

I'm interested in getting eye liner tattooed on my eyes and I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this done and if so, what has your experience been. Paying $20.00 every 3 months for the same stupid eyeliner is starting to bug me. I'd love to not have to wash it off my eyes every night. I already have a tattoo on my back so I'm not afraid of the pain.

I never thought I would be posting this, but my mother had her eyeliner tatooed on about ten or so years ago. None of us kids could believe that she did it! She was in her 60's, and not the type to have anything tatooed! She said it hurt like the devil, but it does look great! It's not real heavy looking, and in a blue-green color. I know, sounds yucky, but I'm pretty conservative, and I like it. However, I would never be brave enough to have it done. I hate pain of any kind.

In the last ten years has she ever had to have it touched up? If not, does it look faded?

I have no experience with this but just wanted to say that if you choose to have it done, make sure the person who does it isn't too heavy handed and has lots of experience.

I'm a hairdresser and periodically am sent info on lessons in doing permanent make-up. I am amazed that I can go to Knoxville and spend a Sat. & Sun. learning to do this and I am an "expert". Not! LOL
