I hope this is the correct board to ask this question.I bought two princess dresses for my DD6 to wear in September. She is really excited but is insisting that her little sister wear one as well(or me HAHA).I have looked in all the places that I looked for hers and can't find any that I think would fit.She will be 18 mths old.Right now she weighs 25 lbs and wears 18-24 mths size.I am not too worried about price-this is Grandma's treat and she doesn't care.Any ideas?

I ended up getting solid colored ones from Wal-mart.
They sell all kinds of princess stuff at Michael's and JoAnn - iron ons, patches, stencils/fabric paint.

I just made mine for the baby to match :)

We tried to find 18-24 month princess dresses AT WDW and they didn't carry them. The only ones we could find were Minnie Mouse dresses. We were trying to find costumes for last Halloween. I hope you are able to find them! Good Luck!

If you can hang on, I think the Disney stores start selling their Halloween costumes around late August, early September. You can also go to Disneydirect.com to see if they have any on line. I think you can probably find a princess costume in a 2T--not sure if they make them any smaller.

I have also seen them at Target and WalMart stores....but again, not sure if they come quite that small.

Good luck!

You are correct! The Disney Store's smallest princess costumes are size XXS (2-3). OP-Around August I would check disneydirect.com (The Disney Store online) and see if they have smallers sizes than that. I would also keep my eye out on eBay. Good luck!!

hmmm, that is kind of small for everything I have seen. Once halloween costumes come out, you might be able to find something, unless your older daughter is insisting that her little sister have an IDENTICAL dress. Target had lots of princessy costumes last year. I ended up buying my daughter (then in @ 18-24 mos.) a fru-fru ballerina costume (stretchy body w/ tulle skirt, tulle sleeves w/ roses on them) for less than $15.

I hesitate to suggest this, but there are a number of people on e-bay that will do custom boutique work, and I'm certain one of them could make one for you if you want something really specific, like a certain princess. (My hesitation stems from the fact that my sister sells custom boutique on e-bay, and I don't want to seem to be advertising for her.)

I couldn't find one that I liked either. We bought the Simplicity pattern and my mom made it. If you can sew or can find a seemstress, the patterns are really cute!

When I was searching for Aurora costume for myself I found a site

costumecity
(add a dot com to the end)
(I don't have enough posts to put up a url :p )

that has Disney costumes including princesses princess: in infant size.

Wow! I just got home and saw all the responses-Thanks everyone. My older DD does want her to have Snow White or Cinderella but she will take anything close probably. She is not shy but seems to be a little nervous about wearing a "dress up"dress to a restaraunt. She got hers today(Costume City) and got really excited. We leave Sept.5 so maybe I can find one.I am going to look into all of the suggestions y'all have made. :wave2:

OK check this out!! $19.99 (Cinderella, and Snow white for Toddlers!! Teeny tiney!!)

and on the right you can click on Disney costumes and find more, you can also find adult/plus size costumes, I'm thinking I should get a "Queen" costume, if after all DD is a Princess, that makes me the QUEEN!! :rotfl:

(well we are going during MNSSHP, but dh will NOT wear tights!! :rotfl: )

I ordered Alice and Cinderella ballerina.I will keep looking for just plain Cinderella or Snow White but maybe these will fit just in case.We don't have long to go :cheer2: :cheer2: I think Alice will be cute to wear to 1900 Park Fare. Thanks again for all the advice. :Pinkbounc

My DD is always so hot in her costume, even if she just wears it to CRT so this year we are doing something different. I had a pair of custom short-alls made, heavilly themed with Disney Princesses all over, ruffles on the hems of the legs, etc.. She can wear these all day, CRT and after. And I got a pair of Minnie ones made too..way too cute for words, much cooler than a costume, and just a little different than normal. We'll see how they go over! I also got DS a pair of Mickie ones. They are priced well too, not as cheap as a sale you'll catch on Princess costumes, but MUCH cheaper than costumes at Disney Stores. The lady who makes them also includeds a big bow for the minnie ones and D. Princess socks w/ the princedss ones.

Just another idea.......

Silly question and off the subject but does anyone know why the little check in the box is in a different spot in the thread title? :confused3

If you are going in September, depending on when you go, Party City will probably have out thier Halloween costumes (stores seem to put seasonal stuff out so early these days). I know that they have some smaller sized princess costumes. I got one for my 18 month old last Halloween :flower:

I was also wondering about someone on ebay making custom costumes. :cool1:
