Anyone wish for new couch's at BCV

Does anyone else wish the Beach Club Villas had new couches? I love the BCV's however the couch cushions are very stiff and badly stained. Has anyone else noticed this? Last year the 1st villa we checked into the couch was so bad that I went right back downstairs to change our villa.

I hate all the couches in DVC, with the slight exception of OKW....To me it is like sitting on cement blocks....The pull out beds however are excellent!!!!!!!!!!

The BCV sofas are brand new as of last year. It will be a long time before they are changed out again. They are good to sleep on, but horrid to sit on. Plus the fabric feels like sandpaper.

They probably picked sandpaper fabric on purpose...so that people don't sit on them and they'll last longer than those old, stained, ugly couches. (They had the members dues in mind when picking out the fabric...if no one sits on them our dues won't go up as much each year. )

I think they expect us all to go swimming at SALB - the sand paper sofa is water proof - or about as water proof as fabric for sofa gets.

Have you stayed a the AKV lately??? We were there the beginning of the month and the sofa was one of the highlights of the studios we stayed in. It was soft, and deep seated. We were really pleased to see this new comfortable sofa at both of the studios we rented. Now only if the other resorts could get the same type. We never openned it, but it was very relaxing to lounge on. Nothing like the one at WLV and BWV last year.

Our wish was granted last year. We're going to be rubbing the lamp for a long time before the genie comes out again.

Personally I'm pulling for carpet replacement in the units before anything else.

We had a lot of "new" last year. The hallway carpeting, the mattresses, the sofas and the washers and dryers in the laundry rooms. I think things are looking pretty good right now with the exception of the carpeting in the villas themselves.

AKV has the same sleeper as SSR. Same manufacturer. They are much better to sit on than the ones where everything folds out.

I prefer the AKV and SSR sofas over the newer ones they placed at BWV and BCV.

Does anyone know which ones OKW has?
