Anyone who uses Budget,don't forget....

...USE FASTBREAK!!!! You will be SO happy you thought ahead and enrolled in FastBreak!! Last year (today,actually!), as we walked by the Budget counter there had to be atleast 50 people waiting to get their cars!! We just went right in to the parking garage(across the street ffrom the Budget counter),followed the signs to the little Budget kiosk,handed the attendant our printout reservation,got our keys and off to WDW!!!! No lines,no waits.
We will ALWAYS use Fastbreak!!

Ok-what is fastbreak? I found the best deal with a rental car through Travelocity (a Budget rental), but I hesitated because we've always used Alamo (I guess it's just a "knowing what to expect" kind of thing). How do I sign up for fastbreak and can you use it if you book through Travelocity?

It's a free program like Alamo Quicksilver or Thrifty Blue Chip. They have all your information ahead of time, so you get to bypass the lines. It's great! Usually when you join, they send you a coupon for 10% off a future rental, too.

Trust me,you will thank me for telling you about FastBreak! Its totally free! It doesn't matter what you rent. We ended up with a Ford focus. Nice little car!
Go to their site or go to a budget car rental center to pickup an application.
Fill out the form and send it to Budget, you'll get a FastBreak number. Think:
NO LINES,NO WAITING!!!

We rent the cheapest category and have gotten a couple of upgrades to Tauruses. Not sure if that's because of Fastbreak or because that's what they happened to have.

So you go to the kiosk in the parking lot at MCO, or a Fastbreak counter inside the airport? Someone at Budget just told me to go to the "counter."

I rented from Budget at MCO for the first time in May. I didn't sign up for FastBreak, but when I got downstairs to the rental car area, I was the only person in line at the Budget counter. It didn't take long at all. From what I've read here, that must be VERY unusual. Are there usually really long lines at the counter? Maybe there was no one there because our flight landed at like 8:40 am on a Saturday? I think I should probably use FastBreak when we cruise in December. What do you guys think?

I say,if there's a way to avoid waiting in a long line,then why not do it! Fastbreak is free! The kiosk is in the garage. When you get to the Budget counter(downstairs at MCO) look to your left,there's a door to outside. Right across the street is the garage and signs to the Budget kiosk where there is no waiting!! Your paperwork is all ready done! Also,no badgering by customer service about insurance. Pick up your key and go get in your rental car!!!
