Anyone who has reserved a two-bedroom unit for part of their trip, then downsized to a studio at the same resort: Could you please tell me if you were allowed to stay in the studio which was part of your initial unit or if you were required to move to a different room when you changed to a studio?
Boy, that sentencing took forever to end! I would appreciate anyone sharing your experience. We are cruising, then spending 2-3 days at WDW, probably at OKW. I hate to spend big points on the weekend for the 2-bedroom, but also don't like the thought of completely moving for a last night or two. Throwing our stuff into the studio portion would be a simple matter, however. Actual experiences in this situation would help me to decide. Thanks!!!

.. Front desk said yes, there was a mix up and were very gracious about it. They sent us into the General Store to buy anything that had been discarded and they reimbursed us for the expense. Nothing like this had ever happened before or since... If you do request a lock off make sure they know up front that you want to keep one half of the room, from what I understood they technically have to check you out and in again but it is really a paper transaction. This is just to make sure the keys that worked both doors before, only work the door of the unit you will be keeping...
