Anyone watching the SATC reboot? Major spoiler inside...

It's official. I'm done with Miranda. Where to begin...

I'm just happy that Steve told it like it is when he said, "It's always like this. You don't think that I'm enough, then I'm kind of enough and then I'm not enough again. I'm always there, you know, hanging in for us. I'm too old to rally for us again." Steve has never been good enough for her in her eyes. And now she is just another middle-aged fool who leaves the person who loves them to chase excitement and belly-fluttering feeling of a new relationship. Well, she's going to be chasing that forever.

Full disclosure: I haven't gone through the whole thread because I'm the kind of person who likes to watch a show and see how it plays out. Yes, I was bummed about Big, but I didn't burn my HBO Max membership card, etc etc.... insert show controversy here.

I popped into the last page of the thread, and I have to say that I really like your quote & assessment of Miranda. I think it's going to blow up in her face, and she is always going to be searching for that indescribable Something. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Is it bad that I want this to blow up in Miranda's face? Steve's assessment is right, nothing is ever good enough for her. She needs to stop and find out why that is before running off to Cleveland. WTH???

I think the majority of viewers feel the same way right now.

And another thing... Lol I can't help myself. That stupid conversation at the seafood restaurant with the Carrie and Miranda freaking out about Charlotte and Harry and doing the thing. She's married, not dead! And that's all I'm going to say about that.

I felt for Steve. He was never enough in Mirandas eyes. I think she convinced herself to marry him because she was pregnant with Brady and once she decided to have the baby her fate was sealed and now she is facing the consequences . I think she wishes she had a "do-over". She never wanted the life Steve offered, simple life, work hard, have a child, live in the suburbs, come home and watch tv etc. That was never what she wanted IMO. Miranda always wanted to work, make partner at her firm and prove herself and live in the city. I don't think she really wanted motherhood or the suburban life. It broke my heart when Steve was shocked and said he was happy with their life.

What sucks is remembering how they each dated other people and eventually got back together. Like she knew she wanted Steve but I don't know if she wanted him because it was easier with him being the father of her child or not. I think she cared for him but cared enough not sure. I think, other than his indiscretion, Steve did care for Miranda, he was fine with the pace of life but I guess if we look back at Miranda she's always been more fast-paced, go-getter and probably sees all of this as settling for others when all she wants is to be what she wants to be, whatever and whenever that is. I don't like at all hearing about her indiscretions though, total turn-off.

**this is me not having watched this new show just remembering the past show and reading the descriptions people are posting about the new show and the episodes I agree how Miranda viewed Steve. It's really sad to hear how this series is treating him.

Yes, I think she is looking at her life thinking "how the heck did I get here?" I think meeting and falling for Che made her face that.

It broke my heart when Steve was like, "yeah, this is marriage." Then she runs of to Cleveland to see Che.

That's a good way of saying it, meeting someone else made her face her reality of her life.

Ugh that is soooo sad to hear she just runs off like that :sad2:

Steve has never been good enough for her in her eyes.

He told her back when they were first together that she didn't consider him good enough because he was a bartender. :sad2:

Then when she saw him out on a date with someone else, THEN she wanted him back. Her EGO just couldn't take that he didn't want her. That he might like someone better than her.

Yep, and she did the same thing in season one with Skipper. She didn't want him until she saw him happy with someone else. Miranda should have left Steve alone. He would have been happy with Debbie.

Oh wait! That date I mentioned was with Skipper. :headache: Wow, she really treats all her men the same, like dogs, for me to have confused the two. :sad2:

Then she turns around and is so judgemental of Carrie when it comes to Big.

It is not bad at all. Miranda is awful.

... and I hope Cleveland blows up in her face for two reasons. First, she needs a big fat dose of her own medicine. Second, and I know it won't happen but I am putting out in the universe anyway, Che and Miranda can end the relationship and we will barely see them and their repetitious stand up again! (if I have to watch that one. more. time.) :rolleyes2 Enough of the Che Diaz comedy show.

eta:

I am also sick of them talking about how “old” they are. You’re not old.

The compilations of tweets about Che Diaz on the internet are so hilarious. Google Che Diaz tweets. Can't post it here. I agree with you 100% Che's "comedy" act is horrific. Not. Funny. At. All.

Am I forgetting a proposal from the original series? Because they got married after Brady was born and she was the one to ask him.

So I watched the new episode with DH in the room. I tell the TV, I hate Miranda, DH goes without seeing any of the other episodes of AJLT, I hate her too. Yep sums that up.

My heart broke for Steve. Steve wants Miranda to be happy, yet she has absolutely no consideration of him. Plainly put Miranda looked like the other name for a donkey. Carrie told Miranda, she doesn’t even know who Miranda is.

Also hope Cleveland blows up in Miranda’s face and Steve gives Miranda absolutely no comfort and leaves her in the dust. Miranda will never be content. Steve put that very eloquently.

I'm lost in twitter land reading endless tweets about how much people hate Che, Miranda and the horrible treatment of Steve. This tweet sums Steve's storyline perfectly...

"When Miranda inevitably tells Steve about the affair with Che Diaz, he’s probably gonna go HUH?, get up, trip over himself, fart, poop his pants then fall out of a window"

They've made him into a caricature.

Yes, but I feel like part of that was to give Brady a family, almost like an obligation. Steve found someone else and she got jealous. Being a single mom was hard on her and Steve was the easy solution.
