Anyone watching CNN today?

Strange day for news...

1. Basketball coach is at game coaching 5 hours after giving birth and she was ticked because she was 3 minutes late to the game!!

2. Drunk calls 911 and taunts the police until they finally caught him. He made 6 or 7 calls to 911 telling them where he was. he claims he was drunk and blacked out

3. Guys catch shark and shark bites one man as he tries to get the hook out of the sharks mouth.

and

4. 9 year old gets her hand stuck in an ATM machine for several hours. The machine had to be taken apart to get the kid's hand out.

Is it just me or does this just sound like a bizarre set of news stories??

Sometimes, I am grateful when stuff like this is all there is to report. When people complain about the size and quality of our local newspaper, I feel fortunate there isn't more material to work with!

I am about the drunk calling 911. I can just picture him slurring and taunting the police! (I laugh assuming he was not driving around).

And the kid with her hand in the ATM - at least she is smarter than the kids who get stuck in the toy machines! You go girl!

Today during the lunch hour, CNN had a reporter on the scene of a traffic accident.

Also, a story along the news ticker reported that a Hong Kong woman "nearly" choked to death after falling while brushing her teeth, thereby jamming the toothbrush down her throat.

Yes, I think it's safe to say that CNN is no longer the "World News Leader."

I didn't see that on HLN! Must have been on the regular CNN.

At least they aren't showing the same loop every half hour like they do on the weekends!

Actually, all this sounds like a step UP from the Anna Nicole Smith "who's the daddy?" 24/7 coverage of a few weeks ago.

We've got a war, a recently convicted VP chief of staff, and ongoing investigations into the fireing of US Attornies and poor conditions at military hospitals all going on right now, so yeah, I can see how there's not much for CNN to report at the moment.
