anyone watching 48 hrs investigates?

I agree! Whats WRONG with these girls who do nude webcams, etc? Do they have ANY self worth?

They are kids, they don't know any better. Their parents are exploiting them plain and simple. It made me ill, I actually felt like I was going to cry. The Cindy girl is only 1 year older than my daughter. To say "Well men look at them on the street anyway" as an excuse is deplorable. All porn exploits woman, at all ages. These Moms think their kids are going to be stars and models, it is laughable. They are headed for nowhere, their looks will be gone, their money will be gone, they will have no education and no self worth.

It would be diff. if they were modeling clothes but they are just selling themselves. The parents are enjoying all the money they are getting from this. Just when you thought you had seen it all.

I think I missed something. Then again....maybe not.

I watched it and was utterly disgusted! The parents they interviewed....I don't know if I can truly express how I feel about them. They are supporting exploiting their children for the money. I cannon fathom doing that to a child. I hope the law they were talking about last night passes, and quickly, so this crap stops.

And the creep who runs Cindy's "career"..."oh, no one will be able to find her and do her any harm. I don't give out her address". But he gives out HIS address, and she shows up there almost every day!

I think I am too frustrated to make much sense here. Sorry.

I ended up changing the channel after the Cindy story. It was all very disturbing. I agree with newmouse. The man who is taking the photos of Cindy and managing her "career" is nothing but a pervert. He really gave me the creeps. It's child exploitation....plain and simple. People can pay $150 and have photos taken in an outfit they send in???? Give me a break. That's just sick. The parents should wake up and get a clue.

I was looking through the channel guide last night and saw this, I am SO glad I decided to watch the Travel Channel's Top Ten Fun Food Factories.

I was wondering what that show was going to be about though, the only descroiption in the guide was "Kids for Sale". Once I saw that, even though I was curious, I just did not want to watch it.

I can't comment much because I did not watch the show, but from reading what all of you have said, it sounds disgusting, disturbong, and ANY parents who allow their children to be exploited and involved in money-making like this on the internet should be charged as criminals.

Hey Mermaid....Cindy is 11. The man should be put away and her parents need some counseling.

OMG!!! THESE PARENTS WHO LET THEIR KIDS PARTICIPATE IN THIS SHOULD BE LOCKED UP!! THEY ARE PROSTITUTING THEIR CHILDREN!!

D watched it and told me about it. He couldn't believe how the parents were responding. Such a sad situation for those girls.

I am glad I am not the only one that felt that way!:( I thought it was absolutly exploitation by the parents and the "agent". I told DH to change the channel. There are way too many things regarding children that I just cannot stomach any more.:(

i THINK THESE CHILDREN SHOULD BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE PARENTS. IT IS AMAZING HOW IGNORANT PEOPLE CAN BE WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY. IF THAT IS NOT EXPLOITING CHILDREN THEN WHAT IS? HOW CAN THEY NOT LOOK AT THOSE POSES THEIR CHILDREN WERE DOING AND NOT SEE SOMETHING WRONG?

I was also disgusted - it was as though the parents had blinders on and just ignored the obvious dangers of what they are allowing - sure, men may look at these girls on the street, but that's because we can't control what people do on the street. But these parents certainly have control over their daughters being put on the internet for anyone to seek out!! What is wrong with some people?? (P.S. Mermaid, you're gonna have to share Nomar  with me!!)

Okay, I missed the show. . . but are you saying the parents were allowing their 11-year old daughter to pose nude and/or engage in pornography for a webcam?????

Yes they are in front of a webcam. The girls are not nude but they might as well be since they aren't wearing much. they are not modeling clothes but selling themselves. Men and probably some women are paying up to 20.00 a month to be a member! One man sent the 11 yr old a 150.00 dress and asked her to model it for him. The other teen, I think she was 14, gets alot of gifts sent to her and also charges a fee. Alot of the poses are very sexual. The parents are fully aware that they are doing this. I guess when it is time for real prostitution the parents will be right there coaching them!!

The little Cindy girl was posing with shorts and halter tops sticking her hip out. Then he was filming her hosing herself off while washing the dog, all at the age of 11. It was beyond reprehensible. Looks like we need government to pass legislation because parents have no common sense. The Mom and Dad want her to be a star and get her own tv show. But the Mom said she is definitely not "exploiting" her child because that would be too crass to say.

Thanks for the clarification Bumcat!!

I was going to ask why the parents weren't in prison instead of on TV being interviewed. . :o

I guess I'd have to see the show to understand exactly what it was about. . I trust it was bad because of the reactions here; I'm just not quite getting a handle on what the little girl was being allowed to do?

Were strangers encouraged to send in dresses and for $150 the child would pose for pictures in them as part of the "business"? Or did someone send the child a $150 dress? and did the parents accept it and let the child pose in it?

I remember being pretty disgusted by some of the outfits/poses that Jon Benet Ramsey had been allowed/encouraged to wear by her parents in those pre-teen beauty pagents. . was it worse then something like that??

Is this one of those webcams that show her daily activities?

Definitely sounds like at the very least the parents are using her to make money nd putting her in a potentially dangerous situation. . . and maybe it's just one of those things I'd have to see to get the whole impact on why it was so upsetting. .
