I'm confused... are they trying to tell us that this show really isnt reality TV, that it's scripted??? I was so lost at the end of that thing I felt literally ill when I thought Jack killed Minnie and then that was it...

So what do you think? Have we been watching pseudo reality tv or do you think they did it just for last nights show to get ratings?

Preshi- I watched the show last night too- they almost had me with the "Jack kills Minnie" thing. Personally, I think it was for ratings. The show hasn't received the high ratings it did when it first aired. I do love Sharon, though. She's the reason I watch the show.

Did anyone elses MTV show half the show, then after the commercial repeat it from where Sharon tells Kelly she should get a new manager?

My mom was literally flipping out when Jack "Killed" Minnie. She kept saying "you know people that do things in their sleep are capable of that when they're awake...this means Jacks really evil...oh my God, oh my God, not Minnie, why not another dog?"

I thought it was mean at the end, but hey, they had me fooled. I was confused too. When they showed Ozzy doing the whole "I love you all more than life itself.." line and flubbing it...I thought the show wasn't scripted? Hmm...

Apparently there were some technical difficulties on MTV last night during the airing, hence the reason they replayed that part after the commercial.

They showed the rerun of the show today, with the portion that had been omitted last night.

No almost here - they really had me going. I was really upset to think that he'd killed their very favorite dog.

Kelly's tantrums are too predictable, Jack is a freak cashing in on his name with the babes, Sharon is the seemingly eccentric mother who really is brilliant to keep that family on track, and Ozzy is...Ozzy. Then there's the staff and the hangers-on...who always seem to float in and out.

I did some searching and found this site...

I feel like a moron now for believing this show... although it was entertaining I dont think I'll be watching another season.

The reason for the show last night is because they wanted to build it up and seem like a dramatic end to the family, but actually fool everyone. I'm pretty sure it was just that episode that was scripted, and it was meant to be an "eff you" to the media. I'm not sure. Black Sabbath = \m/

Edit: Now that I think about it, it probably was scripted. Shows like Survivor, etc. are. Bleh.

I always have a hard time understanding Ozzy when he talks.

I looked at that site..and I wonder if that is true. Those pictures could have easily been manipulated by a home computer on Adobe Photoshop.

I was thinking the same thing EvilPrincess... I think I'll have to check out those episodes since they air them over and over to check it out :)

It is entertaining... but the whole Minnie/Jack thing really turned me off.

The only reason why I thought it was mildly believable is because I went onto the guys message board. Someone posted a video clip and it was much more realisitic looking on the video.

ok well i'm just a dummy but last nights episode pissed me off enough anyways without the "conspiracy"theory...

CKY is that ok with you?

KELLY & JACK OSBOURNE: 'THE OSBOURNES' Reality 'Fake' - Nov. 30, 2002

The first season of "The Osbournes" included sequences staged by MTV, Jack and Kelly Osbourne claimed Tuesday on "Good Morning America". They cited two specific moments that they said MTV had orchestrated — the appearance of a dog therapist, and a dramatic family meeting that ended with Jack storming out. "The most fake thing about that show was the family meeting, because that was an MTV idea," Kelly said, according to the New York Post. "I put that in my contract [for the new season] — I would not do anything like that dog therapist."

But both MTV and a spokesperson for Ozzy and Sharon denied that scenes had been staged. "Nothing is ever scripted or planned on 'The Osbournes'," an MTV spokesperson told ABC. And an Osbourne family spokesperson told the Post: "Ozzy and Sharon would not have done it unless it were all real."

I was fooled for sure. I was screaming at the T.V. and Jack. (what a loser I am.)

I think the first season was real reality. The second was real "pretend reality" It's difficult to be "on" all the time. I think their last show was a way of telling us that.

Pretty darn sneaky. Mean and sneaky. ;)

I usually dont but there are other things like the quotes off of Good Morning America that seem to support it.

Just forget it... it's not worth arguing with someone 10 years younger than me...

I'm wrong this time... im done... sorry I mentioned it folks... move along.:p

This was the last season anyways...

Sharon is doing a talk show and Ozzy is recording another cd and might have his own show in the future.

as for last night it was crap, the worst episode I've ever seen..

The show itself was real but last night wasn't... they did it to through ppl off

I too was mortified when Jack "killed" the dog. I could not believe that they (MTV) would broadcast such a thing. I feel like such a sucker now. Man am I P.O.ed!!!

Just wanted to vent too.

Preshi, I believe the shows are not scripted but the producers may set up certain situations to make it more interesting.

It was obvious to me this season was contrived and forced. Sharoon was the only one who seemed into it. Several shows were about just the animals because the family was so boring! And I still watched! I love Sharon and will watch her on her talk show if it ever happens. Jack has always bugged me. He's a perfect example of what happens to an overindulged child. Kelly too. Maybe one day they'll both grow up but I'm not so sure....
