Anyone watch The Middle?

Hmmm.. my favorite episode.. so hard to pick! I love the one where Frankie was so upset over The Bachelor finale, she was crying days later and Mike said, "Twenty years, and I've never once slapped ya...." then leaves the room shaking his head.

I love this show!! Its such a feel good show to unwind to, and definitely family friendly which is nice. I try to watch it every week, and its the only show (besides OUAT) that I am actually willing to spend money on by buying seasons of it on Itunes, so whenever I am on a trip or somewhere without wi-fi I can watch on my Ipad.

I still havent watch the WDW episode though >_< I purchased that season though (just for that episode! lol) so one of these days I need to sit down and watch it.

The toenail episode it one of my favorites. Time will now be known as Before toenail and after toenail. The one where Sue gets in a fight with the Glostner boys was funny too. Mike's face when she said they had choreography and everything. :rotfl2:

I think it was the episode where they used the neighbors brand new car and trashed it. Frankie said something like-- we get something nice and we just Heck it up. LOL

The one character that is getting a little "old" in more way than one is Brick. The quirky weirdness is just plain obnoxious now instead of endearing

I love the character of brick. myself and SO MANY parents of kids on the autism spectrum live with those same quirks and habits as a part of our daily lives, as well as his challenges with friends, school, and day to day life skills.

I loved the recent episode where they realize he's never been to a movie theatre, take him and then realize it's still not a good fit activity for him seen this many times w/activities most kids start doing much younger than my son/his asd friends. we parents give it try when our kids ask to do it, often questioning ourselves on why we didn't do it with them at a younger age-then when it doesn't necessarily work out as we/our kids would like it becomes an 'aha moment' where we go 'oh yeah, that's why we didn't think it was a good idea'.

people find out my kid has autism and often they say 'oh-like sheldon on the big bang theory', I respond 'nope, more like brick on the middle'.

I have watched every single episode! I didn't start watching until half way through Season 2. When Season 1 went into syndication I DVRed them all and watched them all. I wanted to figure out why they had a lawn chair at their kitchen table. My all time favorite episode was the one where EVERYTHING (tape on dryer door, broom to keep dishwasher closed, need new roof, etc) is falling apart in their house, so Frankie takes the family to look at Hickory Arms apartments. At that point in time we had several broken things in our house that either didn't work at all or we had to rig to work. We couldn't afford to fix everything at once. It took us a couple of years to get it all repaired. I made my husband watch that episode because it hit so close to home!

We like this show too & watch every week. It does drive me crazy tho when they whine about how poor they are. Mike is supposed to be a foreman & Frankie a dental assistant or hygienist. Sorry, they should have money to buy a dishwasher, or at least the basics without whining. They are supposed to be "the middle" class, not the poorest.

Frankie only recently got that not so great job (she was an under performing car salesman for a long time, student for awhile) and Mike's employer has had numerous shutdowns over the years.

Love this show! We just "discovered" it and started watching the re-runs a few months ago to catch up. I finally got to see the Disney World episode a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately they don't run them in order. Can anyone tell me if it's actually a 2 part episode and do they actually go in to Disney World? (Instead of just standing at the gate!) :-)

I love this show too!

I discovered it on maternity leave and watch all the episodes and now never miss one!

So nice to see other people enjoy it too.

It's a 2-part - that's all I'm gonna say. You HAVE to see it :)

I never watched until last years Disney episode. I love it, so funny! I have caught up now. It was so sweet when Brad told Sue, well , you know...and she knew. They handled that so nicely. Sean is cracking me up this season! Hilarious!

My favorite show. I've not missed an episode yet. I have a daughter who is a senior in high school who reminds us of Sue. So we frequently catch ourselves saying, "Well, this is the Year of Emma," just like the "Year of Sue." I also have a thirteen year old that walks around in boxers. We even named our dog Axle.

Actually, I think it hits very close to home for us middle class folks. I have one kid in college right now. Our dishwasher broke before Thanksgiving, and it is still broken. We need to buy a new one, but it's not in the budget with Christmas, college and everything else. I'm a teacher and DH is a successful sales rep for a big company…still don't have the extra cash. Our lovely high deductible health insurance is expensive, and we are paying off the deductible for the emergency gall bladder surgery I had this past summer. Once we get our tax return, we'll get a new dishwasher. Until then, we are washing dishes by hand.

I love The Middle started watching it during the second season, then DVR'd season one to get all caught up.
The Hecks are some thing else:crutches:

Yep. We are middle-class and have had duct tape on appliances for at least a year, a roof that leaked in the garage for many years, half a bumper on my van for 9 months and those are just the things we finally fixed. Many more to go... Because out here in the middle...

money doesn't come easy or grow on trees.

on a side note, when Axle said he had been Kenny's room mate for 3 years , I was like, WHAAAAA? They accelerated that, right?
Axl is a junior already! Hard to believe he is already 21.

He and Kenny were roommates in the dorm their freshman year, and Kenny moved in with he and Hutch in their rental house after a month or so of sophomore year. Kenny also followed them to Frankie and Mike's house when they got evicted earlier this year. Technically, they have lived together 2 1/2 years, but close enough to say 3.

It was nice, if a bit weird, to see Kenny's face and hear him actually talk last night. I wonder what his family situation is? Axl and Hutch didn't know anything at all about him (even his last name).

Did you see the Halloween episode where they finally showed his face? It was the perfect episode to do that.
