.......my pin collection for your used car?
My roomate Lisa and I were awakened by the police at 6 a.m. informing us that Lisa's car had been hit by a Cadillac doing over 100 miles per hour down the street we were parked on. The car that hit was was in pieces and our car was an accordian with the entire back sheared off and the rest of the back pushed up into the driver's seat. The only good thing is that there was nobody in our car. It is also a miracle that it didn't explode as we put a full tank of gas in it just before we parked. The driver had to be cut out of his car. The impact also severely damaged the 4 cars parked in front of us.
I am sure his insurance company will pay us something...but the car was a 1993 Jeep...by blue book standards not worth much. To us however it was priceless.
I will be posting on dizpins as well and am serious about selling some or all of the pins I have left to get us a new car.
I wish I knew why things like this happen .........
UPDATE.....
The driver of the car that hit ours is in intensive care...doesn't look good. To make matters worse he is grossly under-insured and only has $25,000 worth of liability insurance. This has to cover 5 cars, 2 of which are completely totalled. One of the totalled cars is a 2000 Mercedes. That compared to ours.....who gets more money? Not only do I need money to get another car I need lots of pixie dust sent to the insurance company....
