Im just sitting here planning a lot of things of Christmas and getting really excited!!

Anyone want to talk about what theyre doing for Christmas this year? :)

Not a clue what we're doing for Christmas this year, other than my final exams being over. :)

well that alone is reason to celebarte dont you think?

Absolutely, Binny! :teeth: I'm sitting here trying to work on a project on the computer and I keep multi-tasking back to the DIS, LOL! :p Christmas is wonderful, but right now my mind is on school (and being done! ;) ).

I can understand that :)

How much longer do you have left?

nope, not yet. I'm not ready.

I'm going down to Miami to visit family. Too bad I'm not going to WDW. :p

Binny,
You might have seen some of my posts earlier. I cannot wait for Christmas. We will be at WDW Dec 21-24, and we have not been there for over 12 years.
I am soooo excited!
From there we will go to Savannah to see a great niece we have not got to meet yet! She is now three years old.
Her mom (my husband's niece), owns a dog boarding place and can never get away!
So, this year, we are going to them!

I have been looking for things for Hayden. Found a few cute things, but nothing major. I will proabably get her something at Disney as well.
Not sure what yet. I guess they go to Disney quite often.
Must be nice to live so close.

I love Christmas!!!! Does not matter where we are, as long as I am together with DH and kids, I love it!!!!

Binny, I'm in school this term until December, and then next term from Jan - April/May 2003. Then I go on a co-op work term from May until Dec of next year. Then I go back to school for one more term, Jan - April/May 2004. Then!... assuming that everything goes according to plan I'll be done and graduated. :) So, 3 school terms including this one, or 2 Christmas-es. :teeth:

Oh I love Christmas, its my favourite time of year. I think thats why im so excited about discon - all the christmas decorations will be out.

I wasnt going to have a big christmas this year, we were even thinking about having a non traditional dinner  but thats all gone out of the window now.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!

Emma

Christmas is my favorite time of year! I will be going to DIS CON in early December, then we'll be going to visit my aunt, uncle, and baby cousin in Texas from Dec. 20-25. I'm really looking forward to that!

I know exactly what I am doing for Christmas since it has been the same for years. I will spend Christmas Eve with my Aunt, cousins and their familys, along with my Mother, Sister, Bro-in-law and nieces. We have spent Christmas Eve with my aunt and cousins since we were kids. On Christmas day, I will go over my sisters for Christmas morning and we all open our presents, then we have Christmas dinner (around 2pm) After that it is over my Aunts for more time with the cousins. When I am done there, I meet up with some friends (this is usually around 9pm) and spend the rest of the evening with them.

I don't really do much in the way of a Christmas tree since I spend most of the Christmas to NYE holiday up in MA with my family. I might this year, since my b/f thinks he will be staying in FL getting ready to start at a new school...last year we drove up north together and I dropped him in NY at his parents.

The only thing I might do different this year, is I might fly up to MA. I usually drive, but since Dave will be staying in FL, I can leave the dog with him, rather than bring him with me.

I LOVE Christmas! I'm looking foward to decorating the house without all that construction mess from last year!

I haven't starting any Christmas shopping yet, but I do have things on a list that I am going to buy. I've just had a tag sale (yard sale) and I made some $$ which I will put towards gifts. While I was cleaning out the basement I did a quick inventory of wrapping paper, bows, ribbons and this year I won't have to buy any of that!

Every year we have Christmas Eve dinner at my house and my family comes. My dad actually brings all the food and we cook it. My dad is "old school" Italian and we have all kinds of seafood which is absolutely delicious! I'm thankful I have my dad around still (he's 72) and he really enjoys preparing this traditional dinner for us. There are a total of 30 people that come over which includes nieces and nephews and their significant others. I don't know what I'll do when he is unable to do this anymore. Preparing all that food is not only time consuming, but the seafood is pretty expensive to feed all of us. I guess one day I'll be doing it on my own, but I'll probably have it catered.

I CAN'T WAIT!

I believe I'll be working Christmas Day. Always a special workday! :earsboy:

I just got excited putting up my Halloween decorations...and I thought I was ahead of the game! ;)

Seriously, Christmas will probably be the same as always with Christmas Eve at my house for my family & DH's. Christmas morning we got to my parents for breakfast and then over to my sisters for dinner. One thing I want to do different this year is to start shopping(and finish)early. I usually do fairly well, but I want to do it even earlier than usual. Thats my goal as of now...lets see if it changes. ;)

We will be at the world up until the weekend before Christmas. I have debated putting up the tree this year. Plus my mom gave my kids here old (and pretty useless) computer and it is in the only spot we have for the tree.

Hi Binny,

David (fiance) and I are getting married on December 28th - so the Christmas season will be a very busy one!
We are making our own invites....not going well at the moment, but it will get better!!
Also, I found out that my sister and her family (husband, 3 kids) will be able to come home!!! They have been in Germany for over 2 years (he's in the Air Force). It was suppose to be a surprise for me (everyone knew), but she couldn't keep the secret any longer.

We will do the same as always traditional dinner christmas eve with my mother coming to visit. Kids get us up early to open presents. BIG breakfast clean up. Nap and then have left overs when ever you want them for lunch and dinner. Works for me to do the dinner on christmas eve not a lot of cooking the day of christmas. My mom is single and it's easier for her to come and stay with us than us to go to her house. Since we are doing Disney just before christmas. presents will be a couple each for the kids. I don't know how they will handle that since they have gotten so much for christmas in the past. I think it will be good for them.:D I love the season the decoration. I can't wait. I will put my tree up the weekend of thanksgiving this year becasue of disney trip. I would like a mini tree to take with us for decorating at disney. Good thread I can talk or type as it is about christmas any time of the year. I drive my family crazy with christmas carols
from thanksgiving to christmas day. Can't wait to play my cd's on the way to disney

YAY I love talking about Christmas! SOunds like everyone will be busy busy busy this year! :)

Congrats on the wedding that will wonderful! dh and I were married in February I love winter weddings! :)

We will be having our first Christmas in our new home!!! :) ( GId Willing)

Usually we go to Church on Christmas eve then the kids get up early ( of course lol) they are allowed to get tehir stockings any time after 5 AM then take them back to bed with them, then we all get up and take turns opening presents :)

Its just us this year so a quiet Christmas but Im sure it will be wonderful!

I seem to be in the minority here, but I don't get excited over Christmas coming. It's too much work.
I've been trying to "Skip Christmas" for years and just go to WDW. No tree, no presents, no wrapping and no baking.
I couldn't get all 3 kids to go for it though, and I said it had to be unaminous in order for us to do it.
I Loved reading "Skipping Christmas" last December.:) I was all for his idea, heck, I've been trying to do it for years!
It'll be nice having all 3 kids back home for the holidays though.
