Anyone Want To Know How My Weekend With MIL Went?

Well.......my weekend was pretty nice because she didn't come.

My MIL had a cold and decided not to come for a visit this weekend. This means that DH and I alone had a big ham for dinner with all of the fixins on Saturday night and I am afraid we will still be eating on it until New Years.

MIL still has not decided on Christmas. It looks like they are calling for snow tomorrow so I would imagine that means she will want to stay home but badger us about coming up there.

So since she has not made a decision I had to plan as if she is going to be here so I went and bought a turkey and enough food to make a big dinner for 5 adults. Of course since I did this she won't be here and DH and I will end up trying to eat the turkey as well as the leftover ham.

I am feeling full already!

Sounds like my MIL, we invite her but she can't decide until that day if she is coming or not. That is what she does with every holiday.

Too bad, thats a lot of work to fix all that food, but I guess you can be thankful you have the time to spend with your hubby!

I don't want you guys to think we didn't have a good time. It was nice because we took DS to see Santa on Saturday and it allowed us to finish up some "santa" shopping for DS as well.

The food thing is not that big of a deal but it sure was a lot of food for just the two of us. We felt kind of silly sitting down to a table full of food.

DS was also in a very silly, fun mood on Saturday and I was glad that we got to enjoy so much of it.
