Anyone waitlisted for Thanksgiving week?

Still waiting on our waitlist to come through to extend our trip an extra day. Just wondering if we have a snowball's chance of getting our 2br SV at Kidani on 11/24.

Anyone else waitlisted for that week? Any success stories?

Up to 30 days prior to arrival is when people can still cancel reservations without penalty. Last time we were on a waitlist, it was satisfied 32 days prior to arrival.

Back a couple of years ago, when the economy was booming, all my wait lists around Thanksgiving came through at the 7-day window. With the current slow economy, you would think the chance of getting your wait list would be higher!?

DH just told me to call and try to extend the waitlist through the weekend. I am going to waitlist each day and hope that works but at this point I am not holding my breath.

If it is the same reservation, they don't have the "wait by the day" option any more. Also, each contract is only allowed 2 wait lists max.

My waitlist for Thanksgiving never came thru last year. We were waitlisted for a 1 bedroom at SSR for only one night. We ended up just leaving a day earlier than we wanted to - it ended up being OK with us, as the crowds were insane.

No, 2 waitlists total. Can be for however many days you are needing. Good luck.

I'm currently waitlisted for Nov 28 - Dec 5 and have been since the 7 month window. Thankfully, I have a ressie at OKW (my home resort), but would like to be at Epcot (for convenience). I hear that the Very Merry Christmas Party is the reason for specific days being sold out. My fingers are still crossed, but we're closing in on the 30 day mark.

I called MS and changed my waitlist a bit. I have 1 waitlist for just 11/24 that I went to 7 days and then another waitlist for 11/24 and 11/25 that I still have at 31 days.

I have a reservation off property through the weekend but of course would rather just stay in our DVC room the whole time. I also called CRO and checked on property rates but since it is a holiday there are no discounts and the rate for 2 rooms at Pop is over $100 more than our reservation at a 2 bedroom suite in LBV.

However it works out is fine with us - we'll be on vacation so no worries.

We have a one-bedroom that we booked for the entire week. We waitlisted for a 2 bedroom about 10 months out when our party bumped to 4, no luck yet!

I waitlisted for a 1 bed at OKW or AKV for 11/22-11/24 and it came through in September (I got OKW). I think you still have a good shot especially since you are wanting only one day. My sis's WL for 11/25 at VB just came through yesterday!
