Anyone waiting for AP rates after 8/8?

if an ap discounts comes out soon, who do you call? Is it just the regular reservation number? I'm hoping it will be soon:flower3:

Yup, you just call the regular reservation number and tell them you are looking for the AP rate.

Count me in those watching and waiting for the rates. We have yet to purchase our AP (we're waiting to close our DVC deal so we can get the $110 off), but we're looking for good prices on value resorts August 12-18th!

Last year, late summer AP rates were released the third Wednesday in June. If the pattern holds, this Wedesday should be the day! Hopefully there will be plenty availability left, even with all the pins that have been sent out already. There usually is during value season at least.
I sooo hope you are right. I am VERY ready for an AP rate for September!

I haven't bought my AP yet but just wondering...

do they offer free dining packages with an AP rate? When do those usually come out? Thanks!

Never free dining with an AP discount on the room. But you can purchase the dining plan with your discounted AP room rate and not have to buy any park tickets. Its a package with no tickets.

Noticed they extended the booking deadline for free dining into July. Do any of you think this will delay late aug + AP rates being released?

Fingers crossed for tomorrow folks :cool1::cool1:

Ive said it before though, sometimes the General Public discounts are better than the AP room only discounts, so check back when the GP codes come out and make sure you are getting the best deal :goodvibes

My wait for most our dates is over - I got a pin code :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Now I only need the 1st day - hoping for a general code :wizard:

I just called and they aren't out yet. :( CM said any day now.

That's good to know! I'd like to switch my free dining in September to room only and then see how much it would be to add dining. It is usually a bit cheaper without the one-day tickets you have to buy for the FD package.

:)I'm patiently waiting, too! We have reservations (bounceback) at BWI with FD for 9/24-9/29 and had to book a package. Having AP's we really only need the room-only. We are ambivalent about the DP but would buy it if we got a good room-only rate. It appears that last year's room-only AP rate expired on 9/27 and now I am wondering if that is the case this year (where it expires in the middle of our visit), would we be able to get the rate for our entire stay?

I'm with you all.

I booked bounce back for 8/26-8/31 but am curious to see what I can do with the AP discount.

I'm also waiting for October dates so, even after these are released I'll still be waiting for the next round. :rotfl: The waiting game never ends!

GEE! I hope the Value rate is lower than that! When we went in February of this year, during 'value' season, the rate for a Value was $49! That's what we're hoping for....if its the predicted $64, that's too much for us and we won't be able to go! I do realize that's only $15 more a night, but when your scraping at the bottom of the barrel to even go, that's $15 more a night (plus exchange rate!) too much!

BTW, does anyone know if they give AP rates for camping? That'll be our next and last hope if the Value's are too much. :sad2:

How does it work with AP rates? I was thinking of getting an AP, because it may be worth it to us. We will probably go more than once in a years time, plus the room discounts. How do I book the AP discount and get the pass? Do I have to have the pass before I book it? Or do I order it at the same time? Never done this before....thanks for the advice!

You can book the AP rate without having the AP. You can get your AP "voucher" beforehand (because you wouldn't want your AP year to "start" until you actually arrive at Disney). Then you can take your voucher to guest services at either DTD or one of the guest relations at the theme park, and they will give you your AP at that time. Or, you can just buy your AP when you get there and not get the voucher, do what you are comfortable with, except - - if you buy "now" you can avoid potential ticket increase, you will be locked into today's price no matter when in the future you turn in the voucher (that's a good thing!).

From what I understand, you have to have your "real" AP in hand when you check in at your resort, but I have heard that occasionally the CM will let you check in with the voucher (but don't count on it). You would arrive at Disney, turn in your voucher for an AP, and then go back to the resort to check in.
