We are leaving very soon and I am curious to others observations and insight. Never stayed at the Beach Club. Packing our bags! - Steve

I was there the end of August and had a great trip. What info are you looking for?

Mostly any cool things people noticed - what was your favorite thing about BCV vs other resorts? - Steve

Gotta try the cheeseburgers and raspberry coke at Beaches and Cream!!!!!

We were there last Oct - okay so not so recent - Our favorite thing was to check out what the alligator and turltles were doing.

My next favorite was walking around the lake in the early morning just after sun-up. It has very different feel at that time of the day.

Walking to the bus stop we would often see rabbits just off the sidewalk munching away - Hope they stay away from the canal with the gator in it.

Our 2 BR villa had a huge balcony and a great view of parts of EPCOT and illuminations. The sunrise in the morning while drinking coffee on the balcony was spectacular. We could hear the "Beatles" show at EPCOT in the evening.

Walking to MGM and visiting the BW in the evening on the way back all added a little extra something to the day.

SAB is a great place for an hour or a day.

Will be there soon and hope to find some other things that are special and new this trip.

Have a great time!

We were there for 5 nights at the end of August. We loved SAB (almost worth the whole stay), the Cape May Cafe buffet was great and Beaches and Cream is responsible foe my being in the gym every morning (and 5 extra pounds).

We were in a 2 BR and and had a view of Space Ship Earth from each balconey (we were on the 5th floor), and we liked the convenience to Epcot.

All and all, I can't wait to go back.

Art, the Greeter at the BC!!!! He is the most wonderful man in Disneyworld! My teenaged boys kept saying, "Art is the MAN!", and couldn't wait to see him and get that "fine salute from the gentleman"!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the great feedback - I'll look for the aligator and make sure to have a rasberry coke! Very psyched for our trip...especially after getting dumped on by Isabel. We lost 24 trees and had no power for 3 days.....Disney will be paradise! - Steve

Steve,

I know exactly how you feel. When Alicia came through Houston, TX in 1983, we were without power for 5 days. On about day 3, we unloaded the refrig/freezer, left the doors open, locked up the house and drove to San Antonio, who had power. Sometime you just gotta get out of there!

Have a wonderful trip, put your feet up, and have one of whatever it is you like, for me. I will be leaving in bout 65 days for BCV and can hardly wait.

I am glad that all came out well for you after Isabel. It can be a very trying experience. Good luck!

Linda

Sit on the beach in the evening staring across at the BW.

I especially like walking around the Boardwalk also.

Art the Greeter, what a great job! He looks like he enjoys every minute of it!

Have a great trip!

I agree with everything everyone else mentioned, I was there in late Aug., and it was my 3rd trip there, and I really enjoyed everything that was mentioned. I have had the spaceship earth view , as well as the pool view and enjoyed them both equally.

One thing that I notice at BCV that I really enjoy , is the way it smells. There is this fresh pleasent smell in the air when you walk in to the villas section, I cant describe it but I love it.

Anyone else notice it???

We were just there 9/5 to 9/14. Beware that there is a lot of construction going on right now. The main entrance leaving out the back (toward the Boardwalk) was covered in scaffolding. The outside walkway to Beaches and Cream was hard to find. We heard hammering early one morning that woke up both up, but just that once.

I didn't bother me, but I know sometimes it comes as a shock when you're not expecting it.

I love Beaches and Cream. Great burgers and shakes. Also SAB. I could spend the day there. Make sure you take you room ID with you to prove you are staying there. Otherwise, they will make you go get it.

Art is great. I also love to watch the painter that does portraits in the lobby. She's really good.

They are now serving pastries and stuff in the lobby just to the right of Cape May Cafe. It's a good place to pick up something light.

Have fun!!

Wow! Thanks for all the great stories and feedback. We can't wait. I'll make sure to smell the air as often as I can. I plan on watching the moon shine in the lake and hope to see a few illuminations from our room. I'll tip my hat to Art for sure and check to make sure all the food at Beaches and Cream is as food as everyone says.

Steve - I prefer Cherry Cokes from Beaches and Cream. They taste much better than what you can buy in your local supermarket! Some of the things we enjoyed were walking to miniature golf; taking the ferry to Epcot or MGM and not getting off to visit the parks; walking to Epcot; walking to Boardwalk Bakery early in the morning for a cup of tea; walking around the lake in the early evening; and storm along bay to name a few! We did a lot of walking but it was great exercise. DH & DS went on a fishing trip and caught some good-sized bass and took pictures to prove their "fish" stories weren't just that! Annmarie

We are going home to BCV for the first time next year in April!:Pinkbounc And I also was wondering how things were are at the BC. the reason I'm asking is because I had read acouple of post that stated that things were not up to Disney standards, like the rooms were not clean when they had checked in, or something was not working in the room. Has anyone seen any problems ?

I was extremely impressed with mousekeeping during my visit this past Aug. My room was immaculate. It looked brand new shiny clean everything. The room was fully stocked and even the paper towels and tissues were folded at the edges to make the room look like a model.

You can tell the refrigerator had been super scrubbed, it looked like new, but I had two studios, and the carpet under the fridge in both was a little bit wet from the cleaning job.

I had joined in a post earlier and had mentioned that I had some issues with mousekeeping at BCV on my 2 previous visits, so hopefully someone there caught wind of it and the dead wood had been weeded out.

The coffee table did have a tear in the table top's finish, but as long as everything was clean that did not make much of a difference. I just wish the guests would be more careful with the furniture.

The Disney standards were deffinately there, so much so that I decided to book BCV for my 20th anniversery trip next July.

Annmarie - thanks for the feedback and one question - where is the minature golf? We plan on doing alot of walking so it sounds like BCV is for us. Leaving in two days! - Steve

castleri... you have made me miss BCV even more and get more excited about our upcoming trip. Everything you posted about the alligator, turtles and the bunnies is so true. I also love walking on the beach at both at sunrise and at sunset! Thanks for the memories. Can't wait for 9 more days.

Fantasia Gardens is the miniature golf course that is within close proximity to the BCV.
