Anyone using the AP discount in Jan instead of points?

Has anyone considered using the AP discounted rate for January instead of points? Specifically - my weekend points are 20 per night...yet the AP rate for SSR studio seems to be $149/night. Is anyone switching their weekend nights to utilize the great AP rate? Why or why not?

I haven't done this, but if you can bank or use those points later, I see no reason why not. That is a great rate!
