I need inspiration! I bought those oh-so-cute scissors at DTD over a year ago and still haven't used them. How are you all using them? I just cut a strip to put at the bottom of a journaling box (with all his little ears pointing up) and it looks like the Mouse family is in a movie theater!

I really want to use them - any ideas?

I've used them around journaling boxes and around mounting of pictures. I had used some punches on my first book but you could do this with the scissors - I took the punches and punched out my paper I was using at the bottom and made a border right on the paper with it. It looks cute.

Hi  Where did you buy them(long form please)? Has anyone got a picture what they look like and what the cut look likes? I am from Ontario and have not saw them before. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I bought mine at Downtown Disney at the World of Disney. I think they were around $5. I don't have a pic but they're really cute - the cut the top of Mickey's head and his ears. Actually it kind of looks like a Mickey hat. It's a row of them.

I used them to border the bottom of a page. I only used them that once... thye seemed to tear my paper.

Mine did seem to stick when I would go to open them up after cutting but I haven't had many problems with them.

I have bought them twice - first time was $7 and this past September they were $6.

Someone told me that cutting through some wax paper periodically will help them not tear your paper.
Anyone try that?

I did and they still messed up my paper. The last thing I was told was to cut thru a couple layers of foil to sharpen them. I haven't taken them out to try that yet but I hope that it works. I have been disappointed with them. :(

I bought a pair in september at DTD too...they're still in the bag with the rest of the stuff I bought. Between moving, work, school, and everything else I just haven't gotten motivated enough to start the scrapbook from my trip.

Aluminum foil - will have to try that as well.
I've been dissapointed in the edger scissors, also.

I too have been disappointed with them, and have heard to use foil, but have not yet. If that does not work, they will be going to my DD5. She loves to think she is scrapbooking!!

I agree, they are hard to use, but I find if I move it slowly forward (which I have to do anyway to line up the Mickeys) it doesn't tear. I do have problems with me tearing it when I try to move it though! :teeth: If the edges are dull you can probably call WDW and they'll exchange it for you. OT, but we bought a snowglobe one time and the light stopped working after about a week and it wasn't batteries, so I emailed and they gave me an address and code and I shippped it back and they sent me a new one and a week later I got a check for my shipping costs!
