Anyone used VEA from CDG Terminal 2?

I asked this in my other post about booking flights etc with Disney, but I'm guessing no one has done that before.

Anyway........ has anyone ever used the VEA from Terminal 2 at CDG airport before? If so, can you please explain to us where it is??? I read all the info on here and also looked at the map of CDG terminal 2 before I went, also all the directions etc that I could find and we still wandered around the airport for 2 hours just trying to find our way out, never mind the VEA.

We got to where we thought was the place in the directions somewhere on here. Where you can go down the escalators to the train station, but according to that you went upstairs to the bus station, we did that (took us straight outside) but it was just loads and loads of taxi's (none of which were touting for business or spoke english as we had expected), there were buses for various offsite hotels, but after an hour and a half standing there and no vea we just jumped in a taxi.

BUT this time if I book flights via Disney the VEA is included in the price, so we want to make sure we can find it. Can anyone help?!? Pleeeeeaaaaaaase!?!

Hello, I just got back from Disneyland Paris, and was very pleased with the VEA bus service. I agree it is very difficult to find at first! I was so lost as well.

There is a sign that first points to it outside the baggage claim exit at Terminal 2E. Then, you'll come to the first set of glass doors that lead outside. Go outside at this point, and turn left. You'll see a little building with Disney character stickers on the window, and families in line.

What allowed me to finally find it was actually seeing the bright red VEA Disneyland Paris bus parked there, and in the process of loading guests.

Be sure to have your passes pre-printed to scan as boarding. You can also pay then if you needed to. It was like 17 euros each way.

Also, upon arriving at your resort, be sure and pick up their timetable of pickup times from your specific resort for the return trip home. They run like every 45 minutes starting at around 8 AM. It takes about an hour to get to the airport, but I would allow at least 2.5 hours before your flight to be safe.

It was quite a scary experience for me being in CDG airport for the first time. It took me an hour just to find my bags. I first went through the baggage claim exit door without knowing it, and had to get special permission to go back in and retrieve my bags. Not being able to speak French made it quite hard to get help. Finally, I found a helpful person who spoke English at one of the "I" (Information) desks.

Thanks maconmouse. I think we were in completely the wrong part of the airport. We arrived at 2E as well and when we got off the bus that took us from the plane to the airport we made the mistake of stopping for the toilet. I say that was a mistake because we then couldn't follow everyone that knew where they were going. We went up the escalators to find an empty corridor going straight on or left, both had doors so we didn't have a clue, we took a chance and went left found the baggage claim bit, got our stuff and kept walking. I thought we'd have to go through customs, so we kept walking for ages before we finally thought we must just have to leave this bit through the glass doors that you are talking about, but it certainly wasn't the first set that you mentioned, so we were probably at the wrong end of the airport altogether

Sorry to be a pain, but when you came out the glass doors were there shops and things there? It's just on our way back, we thought we had found where we should've been on the way there lol.

Was it anywhere near the train station though? That's what threw me because we were and that's what it had said here so I was sure we were in the right place.

I had to follow the sidewalk a short ways along the left side over to the VEA pickup area. You'll see a big Goofy sticker in the front window that helped me know for sure I was in the right place.

There was also a gentleman in a red VEA shirt standing at the pickup area who spoke English quite well, and was very helpful. A long line of families had already formed when I arrived, and he told me another bus would be by shortly to pick us up.

I don't recall the train station, so I'm not sure on that point. I know you shouldn't have any problem seeing the sign for Disneyland Paris VEA on the large board overhead to your right as one exits the 2E baggage claim area.

It sounds quite easy actually, but then I thought that the last time and we still got lost I'm definitley feeling better about it now though and am almost certain that we were in completely the wrong area. Sorry but I just have one more wee question for you if you don't mind. When you came out the baggage collection and before you went outside, if you can remember (you probably wont be able too as it's a minor detail) but was there like an archway to the left that went to a different bit of the airport? If you do remember, it would confirm that I know exactly where we're talking about as we went along there and I think that's where we went wrong. Thanks again, you've been a great help.

I tried the VEA shuttle last weekend and as all the others say: confusing in the beginning but very useful and comfortable once you know how it works .

I was picked up at Terminal 2E by a kind of pre-shuttle that brought me to the red bus.

As 34 Euro is a lot of money in my opinion: does anyone knows how the other transportation works and how much it is? I know that a taxe is around 60 Euros. But how much is the train for example?

The train (tgv not rer) is different prices depending on the time of day. We had planned to get tgv at about 10.30am last time we were there (June) and it was going to be £39 one way for 2 adults, 2 kids and an infant so very cost effective in comparison and it only takes 10 minutes, however we missed that train and didn't want to wait an hour for the next one. It can vary though and get quite expensive.

Where did you get the pre-shuttle from? Were you picked up at baggage claim? Was that easy enough to find? Sorry for all the questions.

They picked me up at Terminal 2E; put me in a small grey shuttle bus (also from VEA) and drove me right to the red bus. The ride took about 4 minutes and honestly I have no idea at which Terminal the red bus started .

At which terminal will you arrive? There are some points where they will pick you up (but NOT at the baggage claim).

To be honest I'm not 100% whether it's terminal 2E or 2F as last time it was supposed to be 2F but turned out to be 2E, same coming home. But I think (could be wrong) that 2E and 2F are almost the same place?

Well, I think as E and F are close together and - in my opinion - CDG in general is a bit confusing

A bit?!?!? I've never been so confused in all my life
So much so that on the way home, we were at the airport 5 hours early to make sure we knew where we were going As it happens it's a LOT easier coming back and we just spent the day hanging round the airport
