I'm thinking of following the touring plans from UOG and touringplans.com for my first trip even to WDW in November. Anyone use them? How'd they work for you? (btw - please don't recommend TGM. I'm interested in hearing comments about UOG only!)

I signed up and liked it. They are good plans - nothing I couldn't have come up with myself as I've been almost every year since I was 8, but if you're not as familiar with the World, it's a good guide. And so inexpensive that you really won't have any problem justifying the cost.

The plans include plans for adults and little ones, full day and half days. There are also day specific charts about what times are best to ride what and when to use a fastpass. Not a bad deal for $6.95/year.

i bought the book and planned on using them but the crowds were pretty light and i didn't really see the need to follow a strict plan. great guidelines though! :wizard:

enjoy your trip!

I'd like to know opinions of UG too. DS16 and I are going in March during springbreak. We have been that time before and know it will be busy. We used FP before and did not have any problems but I am bound and determined to at least try the touring plan for MK one day and prove to DS it is worth it.

We used them as guidelines to plan our trip for last June and found the information very useful. While we didn't follow them to the letter we found one day that we strayed from them and weren't getting much done and jumped back into a plan and got back on track. For example, we used the 2 day Magic Kingdom Touring Plan but since we were going to be in Magic Kingdom 4 times we disected it into 4 sections instead of 2 and it worked fine.

I think they are great...especially for a first trip!

After Rock n Rollercoaster broke down and they ushered us out (with FPs), a VERY upset woman a few people ahead of me said to the guy, "You don't understand! I have a plan here! And this screws everything up!" She was holding her UG plan, cut right out of the book. :teeth: Even though she was being a little obnoxious, I kind of felt for her.

No way we could complete a one-day plan. We don't move fast enough and need a long break. But the two-day plans were great!!! :)

Although we haven't been to WDW yet, just reading the plans I know there's no way we could do the one-day ones for MK and Epcot either. Maybe if we were 16, but not now!
