I avoided UoP due to the eye roll reaction people give. I have taken classes at University of Maryland University College and now City University of Seattle. I switched to City U because their Communications program is geared more towards my career, unlike most schools with online programs. When I attended a traditional school over 20 years ago, I had less work to do in all of my classes combined compared to one online class. Last quarter with two classes, in ten weeks I had to write 7 papers, 10 essays, had 5 quizzes and that doesn't include all of the discussions that I had to participate in. There would be at least 4 of those a week and you were required to write a certain amount. I got so burned out that I had to take this quarter off.
I think people hear "online degree" and they think "easy degree" but it really isn't. I wish I could go to a traditional classroom but my work schedule constantly changes.
