hi, was thinking of this as an option for our trip in dec, saves queuing up to change travellers cheques. anyone used it at DLRP or anywhere else for that matter :confused3 seems to be offers on it when you first buy it, ie they put extra euros on it when you put money on it? if you know what I mean! :earseek:

the benefit I supose is that you can't overspend! you load up the card before you go and use it as a credit card instead of having to cash travellers cheques, I suppose its the same as leaving the money in my account and using my switch card, but you get the incentive of the extra money added when you load it up :confused3 thats how I see it anyway.

Hi Claire,

this sounds kind of interesting.........is there a website or anything?
I always like to examine every option before I go!!! :goodvibes

Claire - Thank you very much! :goodvibes

I couldn't get your link to work, but I put in a general search for travellers cheque cards and it seems such a good idea - especially as you are guaranteed some cover if its lost or stolen! I hate working with credit cards, there are so many of us, you can easily lose track of pennies and it takes the enjoyment out of the holiday worrying about it - so I like it all prepaid before hand [hence my enthusiasm for meal vouchers!!!]. I think I'm definately going to give this one a try - if you end up using it, please let me know how you get on...........I would really appreciate it! :goodvibes

I think these are such a good idea for holiday budgeting :)

yes karen and kaye, I agree, its so easy to over spend with a credit card, especially if you love shopping as much as I do! I will be giving these a go, as soon as I get paid I will sort one out, will let you know how it goes. :teeth:
