Anyone used Pan American?

I need to book a flight on short notice for my son & daughter (college students) for the end of March. Obviously most last minute flights are expensive however I found a Pan American Flight out of Manchester NH to Sanford for $252. Return flight has a 45 minute stop in Myrtle Beach before continuing on to Manchester, NH - no plane change.
Has anyone used Pan Am on this route? What do you think of the airline? Are you stuck sitting in the plane in Myrtle Beach? Any comments would be appreciated. I'd like to be able to get the kids to Florida but don't want to send them on the proverbial plane trip form hell. Thanks.

What are they going to do when they get to Stanford? Towncar services are much more expensive than Orlando. Mears isn't an option. Car rental is expensive for people under age 25.

If you play with the dates you might be able to get close to that fare with SW.

We flew PanAm out of Worcester Ma several years ago. Had no problem other than having to stop in Allentown Pa to refuel. I would fly them again if I could, but no more commercial flights out of Worc. Our towncar service was $190 r/t from Sanford. Took about 50 minutes to get to WDW.

They would be getting a limo to Old Key West. I already checked SW for those dates and best price was 183 one way. Thre is a good SW offer at $79 each way but it is for travel after March 30th.Looks like we'd lose a lot of the ticket price savings paying for the $190 limo. Thanks for the information.

Given a choice I'd go with SW and Mears as opposed to Pan Am/sanford/limo. Check your dates, SW has some discounted seats available the last 2 weeks of March.

Pan Am flies 727's and Southwest flies 737's

Southwest's fleet would be considered younger than Pan-Ams. Not that I'm knocking the 727. It is actually a great airplane and was well liked among the pilots who flew them. The 727 is commonly known as a "three holer" because it has three tail mounted engines.

Most if not all of the scheduled carriers (AA, United, etc.) have gotten rid of their 727's and Pan-Am picked some of them up.
