I've been playing with Windows Movie Maker on my new laptop and have created a number of movies from our last WDW video.

Trouble is when I try and play the videos back they freeze after a short time.

Anone had the same problem?

I've tried creating the videos in various formats (AVI etc..) and still get the same problem.

I'm not a seasoned hand with video editing but found Windows Movie Maker quite easy and so far not had any problems of freezing.

I use Windows Movie Maker too, but haven't had any problems. As previous PP says it is quite easy to use (speaking as a casual user!). I don't change any formats though, I just import the video, edit it and click 'save to DVD', always works fine :)

Sorry for hijack Tim :)

I have figured out how to add music but wonder how do you mute any background audio :confused3

On the storyboard view, right click on the audio band (not the word audio but the actual movie clip), that should bring up an options box, and select mute. HTH :)

I've been reading around t'internet and it may be the original converted video file that is causing the problems. I converted the original DVD copy to a .wmv file using CloneDVDMobile. I think I will try and import the video from the original camcorder tapes to see if that helps :)
