We have a Citibank card and at the beginning of 2002 we signed up with their Travel Rewards program. We actually have enough to get a $100 Olive Garden card or a $100 Travel certificate.

I am a little wary of the travel certificates b/c the phone rep said that I would order the certificates, be given a number and then I would call their TA who would make reservations for me (if I wanted to use the $100 for a hotel).

I think this would be great to use towards a hotel room when we go in 2005, but how would I know which hotels I could use? The phone rep didn't know which ones this cerficate could be used for and said only the TA would know that when making my reserv. I am a little aprehensive about doing this. I have heard so many stories about people getting these certificates and only being able to use them on days that start with the letter Y and only if the moon if full :p

Thanks for any help you can give!
