DD, 12, is just starting to get zits between her eyebrows and on her nose.

She has tried Clearasil, but says it doesn't seem to work.

She has seen LOTS of advertisements for this "skin system" on TV and in her Girls Life magazines.

The 3 step system costs $40!!!

Has anyone else tried this? Does it really work? And is it worth the $$$$??

My daughter used ProActiv and she had very good results with it. I know $40 seems like a lot but it really lasted for quite a while. This was a few years back so my memory might be faulty, but I think she only went through 2 sets, then didn't need it anymore.

I use it! :bounce:

I'm set up for automatic delivery through QVC. It's the same price, but you only have to pay shipping and handling on your first supply, then after that the shipping and handling is free. At least that's how it was when I signed up.

I started breaking out in my 30's! I tried everything out there, and this worked like a miracle! After two application I could see the difference in my skin! It leaves my skin baby bottom soft, too! :bounce:

One "batch" (for lack of a better word at this senior moment  ), lasts 2 months, so it breaks tone to about $20.00 a month. . The toner is the first thing I run out of. The toner goes a long way if you don't dump it out of the bottle onto a cotton ball. I've learned to use just a sprinking of the toner on a cotton pad (not cotton ball, they absorb too much toner!).

I would try it trough QVC, Deb. If it doesn't work or your daughter doesn't like it, they have a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee on all their products. And if you sign up for auto delivery, you can skip a month or as many months as you want and you can cancel at anytime.

Good luck! I know how your daughter feels! I hate, hate, hate breaking out! :( :D

I saw this infomercial the other day and got really close to ordering it. $20 a month does seem a bit much to spend on a pre-teen getting a few pimples. They advertise it for severe acne. My skin is usually clear, but I could do without the "monthly" breakouts that I get , especially when the scars can linger on all month. Has it helped anyone with 'hormonal' breakouts? I was getting ready to make a derm appt anyway, so thought this might be worth a try.

I used ProActiv for a while while I was in high school. It worked really well for me.

The only problem I had was that my skin was not happy when I stopped using it! It took me nearly a year to get it back under control using less expensive stuff.
