Anyone Use Proactive Solution?

DD 11 has used both Pro active and the Acne Free stuff it takes a while to work. But she has had to stop it because it dries her skin out so bad it actually comes off in sheets and leaves her skin raw. I think I will look into the "Acne Cure"

I use Proactive, and I have been using it for a month, I love it, I dont use it twice a day so its not working as fast as it could, but once a day is showing me glowing results! Im trying to get it down to twice a day, but life gets in the way! Good luck

My DD 11 was using ProActiv and getting great results for the first month, but then it got too irritating for her face and she had to stop. Until it got too irritating, it was working better than the Rx meds that her dermatologist prescribed.

I tend to get more of a Black head all over ALL OVER my nose. Looks like any time hair should be growing out of my nose (think like a guy shaved face, but can still see the black "stubble"

Any tips on that?
And now my Daughter who is almost 9, is starting to get the black head nose too..

The only thing we do now is wash, wash wash, and LOTS of cover up when I go out...

Geeze that's embarrassing.. Now everyone on the DIS knows about my pimple problem...

I tried it also and it didn't do much for me either.

This is the best I have tried for myself: Cetaphil cleanser for normal to oily skin, Clean &Clear blackhead astringent (salicylic acid) and then 10% benzl peroxide from Walmart (their brand for like 1.86!!)

When using the clean and clear I use a cotton ball and go in small circles all over my face. This exfoliates the deep skin which my skin doesn;t seem to do on its own which then causes breakouts.

This is the cheapest my skin care routine has EVER been and it looks the best ever. I am amazed myself! LOL

Just a warning: ProActive will bleach your linens!!!

I did the whole regimen before bed and woke up to a bleached pillow. Stupid me didn't read the fine print

It worked for me and I use it about once a month.

FYI- I use ut when I get home around 6PM and it still bleached my pillow cases, I go to bed around 10:30

I started having hormonal breakouts last year at age 34. I was breaking out worse than I ever did as a teenager.

I used Proactiv and it worked, but I didn't like the cost. I switched to the regimen recommended on www.acne.org. It's basically, a gentle cleanser, a benzoyl peroxide cream, and a moisturizer with AHA. My skin is clear now for a fraction of the cost of Proactiv.
