I am planning a trip to disney in october. air tickets are alsready purchaces and hotel booked, but i keep hearing how people got great rates on rooms. Anyone have any comments???? Any bad experiences???? I need 3 rooms too, can you book rooms at one time??? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. I am set with the plans I already have but if I can getter a nicer hotel at a better rate I am willing to change. Thanks Ann

I have used Priceline many times with great success. We usually get rooms for our first night at Disney off site thru Priceline. I get 4 rooms for our large party. 2 years ago I got the Sheraton Safari for $25/room/nite. Last month I got the Hilton Resort at Downtown Disney, 4 rooms for $61/night each. This was an excellent deal. You just have to make sure you know what you're doing as there are NO refunds or changes once you win your Priceline bid.

I've started a small in home business booking PL rooms for people. I've booked hundreds of hotel rooms over the last two years with no problems at all.

Priceline is for people who want an incredible savings over regular hotel rates, are flexible about what Hotel they get, and accept there are no refunds, in exchange for that great rate.

I've booked near Disney, 3 and 4 star hotels for much less than what All Stars cost. It's a great alternative.

I learned a lot from internet sites such as www.biddingfortravel.com

To answer your question, you can book up to four rooms at once through Priceline.

I, too, have used Priceline several times with great results. The most important thing is to be well armed and informed. The www.biddingfortravel.com site is priceless for that.

I have used it for Orlando and Atlanta and got the kind of hotels I usually cannot afford. For a person with champagne tastes and a Kool-Aid budget this is the best thing for me!

Ann: Once you decide to take the plunge and try Priceline, I'm sure you'll be hooked! I've booked lots of hotels myself this way and the prices are unbeatable. Like the others mentioned, you just have to be absolutely sure before hitting that "buy it now" key, because once they accept your bid, it's yours. The biddingfortravel.com web site is the best--it not only tells you what hotels people got for what price, but also there are reviews on the hotels from people once they return from their stay. If you feel nervous about bidding on Priceline you can try Hotwire (it's easier), but you'll pay more with Hotwire for generally the same hotels you can get on Priceline. Like the others, because of the fantastic Priceline rates, I've been able to take weekend getaways to hotels I would never book at rack rate. Go for it--with 3 rooms you"ll save big $$$!

I learned about priceline on the www.biddingfortravel.com site,and got the Wyndham Orlando for $30 a nite in March. We've got a one night stay at La Quinta Orlando Airport West for $23 in October, when our plane gets in at 10pm. I've been happy with these bids. I also was unsuccessful in bidding for a San Diego hotel (little/no availability at any hotel), but really like saving money!!

We've used priceline numerous times with great success. The only time it wasn't 100% great was the time we got a 4* hotel in Wash DC with only 1 kingsize bed )for three adults and one child!) Good thing I carry my trusty air mattress. The hotel was beautiful though. I can only reinforce read everything at "biddingfortravel" and personally, I would never bid lower than a three star. And while we've never ended up with a hotel in orlando that didn't have two beds, keep it in your mind that that may happen when deciding how many rooms.

Just got back, used Priceline and got a three night stay at Rennaisance worldgate for $35 a night. They asked at checkin if preferred a king or two double beds. Nice hotel, good location, great price--way less than even the AP rate at the All stars.

Priceline is great! The only thing is that they only guarentee 1 bed /2 people in the room. If you have more people than that, you are taking a chance. Most hotels will work with you, but some will not (or can't).

In the Orlando area we've had the hilton for $60 and the marriott orlando world center for $55.

A great big thumbs up for Priceline.com. I have used them twice for airfare (last year got four round-trip, non-stop, tickets on Delta from SLC to MCO for $125 each!! If you use biddingfortravel.com make sure you check to see if they post any bonus money that may be available. You'll find more info on bonus money on their website. It really comes in handy.

I love using Priceline, but I make sure that all of my plans are flexible, as you never know which airline you'll get or what your flight times will be. I added an extra day to my itinerary when bidding for airline tix, so that if I got a late arrival or early departure at Orlando, that I wouldn't lose out on a days fun at Disneyworld. I ended up getting great flight times, and the money I saved on the tix allowed me to use that extra day on the itinerary for and extra day at the parks. It couldn't have turned out better.

Don't think that this situation is normal for Priceline, I really got lucky. But if you are flexible enough they can really save you a ton of money. Do your research and don't jump at the first good deal that comes along. Wait it out. Then bid when you are ready. Bid lower than you think you should, it'll give you some negotiating room. (I got lucky and my first and lowest bid was accepted. I really didn't expect to get my airline tix for $125!) Watch other sites fares such as Expedia and Travelocity. That'll give you an idea of what the airlines are getting for the dates and times you want to fly. You may just find a better deal there!

I had been hearing about priceline for a while but was never brave enough to take the plunge until December when I broke down and bid on airline tickets for our trip in September. Won the tickets for a good price and saved over $400. A couple weeks later I bid on a orlando airport hotel for 1 nite and won a 3 star for $30. By checking out the prices at the airline and the hotel websites, then utilizing biddingfortravel I saved a great deal of money and am able to afford my first trip to WDW.

I'm another happy Priceline customer! I use Priceline mostly for hotels, but I've gotten airfare to Orlando 4 times. There have been a number of times that I ended up not being able to use my hotel rooms. I sold the ones I had in Orlando, and the others I gave to people who could use them - so far without any problems.

I tried priceline for Williamsburg, VA for the memorial weekend and was unsuccessful. Maybe because most of the hotels were booked up for that weekend already. I would love to try priceline again. I may try it for New England in the fall! Good luck if you try, and tell us what you got!

We used priceline in Feb 2002, and loved it. We got a suite at the Wyndom Palace in Downtown Disney for $75/night. The room had 2 queen beds, 1 queen sofa sleeper, microwave, refrigerator, kitchen sink and cabinets, 2 balconys, 1 full bath and 1 half bath plus a dining table for 4, plus a table in the seperate bed room (2 queen beds) with 2 chairs and lots of space left over just to move around.

We've used priceline in other cities as well and have always been pleased.

We used priceline when we went to NH and Maine 2 summers ago. We got a $120+ room for $40
Try it but don't be afraid to put in a low amount because My fiance's brother put lower amount and got his cheaper yet.

Also check out hotwire.com I have heard they have cheap prices and you don't have to put your credit card in before you see the prices. =)

I LOOOOOOOOVE Priceline!!!! Love it love it love it. I have never used it for Orlando hotels, but I have used it for Orlando airfare.....$75 roundtrip from Manchester, NH. I generally do not like using it for airfare, because it requires a great deal of flexibility.

However, for hotels, I'm totally hooked. I can't imagine booking a hotel any other way (with the exception of Disney properties, which is where we are staying this year.) For example, I often travel to NYC. I have stayed at the Waldorf-Astoria, the Barclay-Intercontinental, the Grand Hyatt and other similar hotels--for $100/night or less. These hotels commonly go for $300-400 a night! I also stay in the Boston area often, and rarely pay more than $50/night.....again, at truly amazing and beautiful hotels. Can't recommend Priceline enough!!!!!
