Planning a Christmas trip to the Sagamore (concierge collection). Any advice or reviews would be appreciated. I've read some negative reports on tripadvisor. Thanks

We have stayed at The Sagamore several times on points.

We love it. we get a lodge suite-1BR. The kitchen is not a full kitchen-just a stove top and a microwave and I think a toaster. small fridge. laundry not in room, so I never used it. I don't know what you read on trip finder, but we love it.

there is however a fireplace. We look at it as a family get away-not much to do there except be w/your family. The indoor pool was open and the kids like going there alot. In the winter(we went 2 yrs. ago btwn Chritmas an New Years) we got sleds from the hotel and walked to the school across the street from the Main road and went sledding. It was great fun. there is also a place to go skiing nearby, although we didn't. Although it was cold, we walked over the bridge to Bolton and went to a restaurant that was open. we also ate at Mr. Brown's at the Sagamore. The staff there were all great.

We also used points this past July. It was alot of points. But it was great. It was beautiful. the lake is great and the town was right over the bridge. There is more to do in the summer, however we actually like going in the winter because there are less people, and we do things like toast marshmellows and drink hot chocolate and go sledding, and of course--less points!

Hope this helps. Go and have fun.

I have stayed there. We stayed in the lodge room, a one bedroom, I would put it at par with DVC one bedrooms. The resort is on the "Preffered Resort and Hotel" listing which means it has very high standards. Service is outstanding of course. The restaurants are great. It is a great place to get away and relax.
