They seem expensive so I wanted to see if anyone has tried them.

Thanks!

I got the Amazing Grace scrub as a birthday gift a few years ago and I LOVED it! I went back to get more and came out with the Pure Grace scrub--which is currently my favorite scent. It's a soap-and-water scent. Very light and fresh. I use the scrub, the shower cream and the perfume in that scent. Those are the only products that I've used, but I really really do love the scrub. There's no oil in it so it doesn't slide off your body when you use it. Did you know that there's a Sephora now at Chesterfield Mall?

No I didn't - I'll have to check that out. I know Macy's carries all their stuff. I asked my MIL for one of their gift sets with the face wash, Hope in a Bottle, and the eye cream. I"m really hoping she gets it for me. I'm starting to look my age. Grrrr...

I do...LOVE Purity Made Simple and Hope in Jar. Also love all of their perfumes, lotions, body washes, etc. So you could say I'm a fan.

I absolutely love the face wash "Purity Made Simple". I grew up using Clinique, and this is sooo much better.

The Purity face wash and the Hope in a Jar (or bottle, depending on skin type) face lotion are AMAZING and WELL worth the money. A little goes a long way, so the packages last quite some time. I actually am in need of a new lotion--I better go pick that up soon :)

You said depending on skin type. My skin is VERY dry and somewhat sensitive. I have to exfoliate twice a weak or else my dead skin cells just mat themselves to my face making me look TIRED.

I purchased some Hope in a Jar and I am extremely allergic to it. I never thought of my face as being sensitive...I can use Irish Spring on my face. The hope in the jar gives me little itchy, burning red blisters all over my face. It happened the first time I used it. I tried it again about a month later, hoping that the cream wasnt' what iritated my face, but it happened again.

My SIL has beautiful skin and swears by Purity. It broke my skin out, but then most things do. Ah, the joys of oily, acne-prone skin. :)

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P12091&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=3866

"Hope In A Jar Therapeutic Moisturizer For Dry Sensitive Skin
Philosophy Hope in a Jar Therapeutic Moisturizer for Dry Sensitive Skin is a high performance moisturizer with antioxidants to help reduce environmental damage. It contains rice bran oil, an excellent source of vitamin E, as well as vitamin A for softening skin, increasing elasticity and preventing thickening of skin."

I have to say that the gift packs are a really good deal too, so ou might want to try the Makeup Optional Kit For Dry, Sensitive Skin

Also check on qvc.com because they often have good deals too.

I love their 3-in-1s and the gingerbread foot salt scrub. I tried purity on my face and didn't have any problems but I just like the tingly feeling Clean and Clear gives me so I quit using the sample I got.

I use the 3 in 1 Vanilla Birthday Cake. I got it after reading on these boards 2 years ago and I'm hopelessly addicted. It is so AWESOME!

It's $16 for 16 ounces, but I only used it as a shampoo and it lasted me almost 2 years! I only had to use a teeny tiny bit and I have long hair too.

I was going to get a different kind, but I just couldn't. I love it so much.

I wish the scent actually stayed with you though. (It only sticks around in the shower). I wish they would come out with a lotion line with the same scents.

I'm hooked on Philisophy products!! I started using them about 4 months ago and I like my skin SO much more. Yes, it's expensive, but I rarely indulge and I think I deserve it ;)

They formulate it so that the scent of the 3-in-ones doesn't last past the shower. That way it doesn't interfere with your fragrance products if you use them.

I use a ton of Philosophy and I buy it all from QVC. The prices are better because they have a lot of the products in jumbo sizes. I bought a 32 oz. Purity over 18 months ago and won't have to replace it for a few more months.

Amanda, QVC will have Philosophy on Sunday at 4pm and Monday at 9am and 10 pm.

I love their fragrances but they do not last long enough (the smell).

Hope in a Jar smells like "wet dog" to me. I have tried it several times and every single time I can't get past that smell of a wet dog.

About a year and a half ago I bought a set of three Philosophy fragrances from QVC that when I originally opened the bottles I liked how they smelled and even did when I first put them on.

After about an hour I couldn't stand how I smelled. Yuk. Even my DS (16) commented that he didn't like how they smelled on me. It sounds like I wore all three at the same time but I didn't. ;) I tried each one on separate days and I just felt stinky. I returned them to QVC. Something about there formulas don't work for me.

Love, love, love Philosophy products. A bit pricey, but worth the indulgence!
QVC sometimes has slightly better prices than Sephora.
