Anyone use Paramount Travel lately? I can't find them !

Has anyone used Paramount Travel lately? I've used them for tickets the last few trips as they always had great bonuses on their 6 and 7 day PHP's. I can't get their web site up and their phone # is not in service. Anyone know what's up ?

I emailed their offices and received a reply that they no longer sell WDW tickets. It was really short and sweet. No information about other services. It sounds like they might be closing. If not they are not handling their business very well.

TNTraveler - they were a travel company that sold discounted tickets for WDW and other Orlando attractions.

Being in the travel industry, I take every thing I see for these so
called "discounted" prices and packages w/a grain of salt. I can't tell you the number of times I've had people come into my office or call me w/complaints that they are not getting what was paid for or what was promised. This is especially true of cruises and
vacation packages to Bahamas and Vegas. My advice is to go through a reputable travel agent for help on vacation packages.

Paramount International Travel has been a reputable provider of discount Walt Disney World tickets for at least the last couple of years. I have no idea why they have decided to change their current business offerings, but they are (were) not a fly-by-night operation.

I've used Paramount several times and am sorry to see them closing. Their site has been down for weeks and Rosa is no longer with them. She is on maternity leave.

Thanks for the update, Muffy - Rosa always provided the most excellent and pleasant customer service - I wish her the best !

I'll miss their 'bonuses' - my sister and her family used the free DQ tickets on their trip - we used the free character breakfast coupons for my birthday b'fast at Chef Mickey's - if you were buying several tickets you could still save $$ even after paying their shipping costs. I'm sure Rosa will do well whereever she goes !

TNTraveler - I know what you mean about the shysters - my friend got taken by one of them - fortunately she worked at a law office and was eventually able to threaten them into a full refund by working with her credit card company !

We used Paramount last year without any problems and I have felt very comfortable refering others to them. I hate to see them drop out of the business. There service was excellent. Maggie

bjakmom--Glad to hear your friend came out on top w/the problem on the under-handed business! I'm glad no one has had any problems w/this company but I would NEVER book something w/an online travel company. There are too many good agencies and travel agents around locally to deal w/an online company.
