We leave for vacation on the 17th and I am getting over a bad cold/flu.

I am worried that DH will soon get it, as he is already sneezing.

I have read good things on drugstore.com about Oscillo and was wondering if any of you online have used it.

Any reviews? I prefer not to go to the doctor and to bring it with me, just in case he starts getting the icks, as I have had for almost a week now (but I am feeling better - only a bit congested now!).

Thanks, in advance!

I use it all the time - but the key is to start at the very first sign of the cold/flu.

Normally I will use Oscillococcinum in conjunction with ColdCalm (made by the same company). It isn't cheap - but it has always worked for me.

Have a great vacation :)

Yes, start taking it now. Don't wait for symptoms to show. You use it effectively as a prophylactic. It is good stuff, but get it going now. :)

I haven't used that one but have used Coryzalia (same type of remedy, same brand but for colds not the flu) to excellent effect.

I usually suffer for about a week with a cold, with 2-3 days being very miserable then I have a cough for at least a week after. I have used Coryzalia about 3 times and only felt a little sick for 2 days. Period. The best.

Homeopathic medicine is supposed to work with your individual "constitution" so blanket remedies like this will not work for everybody.

My colds tend to turn into sinus infections very easily, because I have a deviated(?) septum. And because I have a very high gag reflex, I cannot do that "hork the loogie" thing. The best I can do is (gag!) transfer the goo to the back of my throat and then swallow it (double gag!).

I did buy the Oscillo for DH - after coupon it was $6.xx at Walmart. I will give it to him 2x/day until we leave. I will need to buy more on Monday (payday) but if it keeps him healthy, it will be so worth it.

He managed to get this week off work, so he will have a week to rest up and sleep, something I could not do (read : sleep) being a SAHM.

Thanks for the info. I kept seeing commercials for all of these flu/cold medicines, and the Oscillo was one that looked promising.

:)
