Anyone use one of those single use helium tanks for balloons?

I need quite a few balloons at church for the next several weeks, esp on Sunday mornings, and we don't have a full size tank to use. Finding a place with balloons at 8am on a Sunday morning may be tricky even though I know it's cheaper.

Do these tanks really work? Any experience with them?

One tank doesn't air up many (and as I recall, not quite as many as the package said)...so you might need to get more than one tank if you need several.

Another option is renting the helium tank from a local party rental store. They're not very expensive.

I use them. You can get about 25-30 large balloons and maybe about 40 or more medium ones out of them.

They work great, but you can only fill about 30-35 balloons so it may not be good if you need a lot of balloons.

Most party rental places will rent helium tanks. The ones here run about $80.00.

I 2nd (or 3rd) the idea to rent a larger helium tank from a party store. Then you won't have to worry about the disposal either - just the return of the tank.

Rent it from a party store. It will last MUCH longer.
I do this for my DD birthdays every year. I wish I had know about them in time for my wedding. I used 5 of those tanks and still didnt have enough balloons.

I had no idea you can rent the large ones from party stores - thanks so much for the info! That will DEF be much cheaper for us in the long run since we need hundreds and hundreds of balloons.

I'll start calling tomorrow to find one we can rent =)
