Anyone use nurse/teacher discount at swan/dolphin?

I am planning a trip for WDW in October (2 adults). I am a registered nurse and I saw Dreams Unlimited has rooms at the swan or dolphin for only $129/night for nurses, teachers, or gov't officials. I was just wondering if anyone else used that service for reservations and was the check in process smooth, what documents did you show to proove your profession?

I've used the nurses discount but called the hotel directly to book my room. Bring along a current nursing license.

I have used Dreams twice to book the Swan with the teacher discount. They were great! They even got us a room when the hotel said there were none available. Check in was no problem, you will have an e-mailed conformation number that you can print off. I carried along my teaching cert. but was not asked for it. I think a paystub will also work. We just loved the Swan, I hope you do too!

I've booked the nurse's rate, also, directly with Swan & Dolphin. I didn't happened to be asked to show my current license, but have read that others have.

I booked under the government rate and they never asked me for ID.

I booked directly with the Dolphin for a stay (6 days/5 nights) last August with the teacher rate. I was asked at check-in for proof - I showed my state certification. I brought the original just in case but had a copy, too. All went smoothly at check-in. I had reserved 2 rooms with the teacher rate since DBro and his family came along with my family. Both rooms were comp upgraded to CL.

I too am an RN...and so glad to see this perk (they must have seen my last paycheck )

I booked my upcoming trip through DU and was tickled b/c they got me my ressies when the Dolphin told me they didn't have available rooms at that rate for my travel dates.

In Alabama we have a little credit card copy of our license. I'm carrying that. I will let you know how it goes.

I stayed at the Swan for 1 night last July, this past December for 5 nights at the Dolphin, and will stay for 7 nights this July at the Dolphin. Check in has been exceptionally smooth the first two times and we were even given a double balcony room at the Dolphin without asking! These properties are awesome - enjoyed them more than my stay at the Beach Club. I was never asked for proof but always had my pay stub and union ID with me.

BTW, an interesting experience I had at the Disney Store today involved a CM asking the next time I'd be in WDW and I told her this July. She asked where I was staying and I told her the Dolphin. She asked me why I chose that property and I told her about the rate. She seemed shocked it was so low and commented to her manager. The manager then proceeded to belittle the Dolphin saying it was not a Disney resort even though it was on property and that I would not receive the same amenities. In the back of my mind I was thinking - whatever!!! I've only stayed in Disney resorts 2X (BC and CSR) and neither came close to what I receive for the price at the S&D. I do hope to stay at WL or GF someday though. I also hope that the manager of the store's day improved as she was foul this morning.

I brought my Early Childhood Credential certificate with me but they never asked me for it upon check-in. Check-in was okay. I just wasn't crazy about the first room they gave me. I complained & they moved me to another room that I wasn't too crazy about. The views were not spectacular and at that rate ($99 at the time) I wasn't going to push.

I booked at the teachers rate of $129 at the Swan, and was never asked for any proof at check in. At the time I booked I was told to just bring a letter from the school administrator or Pay Stub, but now I understand that they require a state certification or Union Card.

We stayed at the Dolphin on our last trip using the teacher rate.
Our check-in was very smooth. I had my ID badge from school with me and had it out with my confirmation and my credit card. I don't know if they would have asked or not - but I was ready never-the-less.

I am a director of a child care center. Would that qualify for the teacher's rate at the Swan/Dolphin?

I was told because I was a private school teacher and my credentials are not recognized by the state of California I would not be eligible for teacher's discount. (I attended a Bible College)So I guess only public school teachers qualify. I would call and check though, cause if you are licensed by the state that might be acceptable.

I have the same ? as "love my kids" - I work in a school, have a union card that signifies that I'm in the School Employees Union. I'm wondering if that's all they'd need, or if you need to be a certified teacher (which I am not). Also - the nurses thing - I take it that respiratory techs and x-ray technicians don't qualify for the discount? Would I check with the hotels for the answers to these questions?

I plan on staying at the Swan with a nurse discount in October. My information was that either a paystub or photo ID is necessary. A copy of a license wouldn't indicate if you were currently working, so maybe that it why the license wasn't to be used.
Anyway, I plan on bringing both the paystub and my photo ID. My paystub doesn't say RN on it.

Does anyone know if hospital workers from the UK would qualify, I have e-mailed the Dophin but haven't received a reply yet.

I'm an RN, but not working outside the home at present, and I specifically asked them (Swan/Dolphin reservations) if you had to be *employed* as a nurse. I was told you just need to prove that you *are* a nurse, not necessarily working as one. I plan to bring my current IL nursing license and that's all. No photo on it either, but it's on my driver's license.

I was also told to bring a current nursing license. It didn't matter if I was working as a nurse or not, just as long as I can prove that I am an RN.
