I'm wondering what the setup is like? Are all the buses accessible or did you have to wait longer than other people to get on one with a lift? What was the inside setup like?

Myself & and fellow service dog user are going to be using this service for the first time. We will be 2 people, 2 dogs and one powerchair.

Thanks for any help.

We used it at xmas with my wifes power chair no problems at all you are just inside the back door on the right side of the bus

Just agreeing with walt not a problem and the wait for us was 10 minutes.

Not all of the DME busses have lifts.

Going FROM the airport it is not a big problem as there are many buses and you just wait a few minutes for an accessible bus to be available.

Going BACK TO the airport, MAKE SURE they know you need an ACCESSIBLE bus as it will take longer to get an accessible bus to your resort if they don't have the right bus there the first time.

As a matter of fact, I would be tempted to schedule my return 4 hours before flight time to allow them time to send the correct bus if the first bus is not accessible.

No need to do 4 hours early. They had a bus waiting at the resort for us. But DO make sure when you book it to tell them you need the lift so that does happen.

I guess what I'm saying is even though you request one, if the bus that does show up at your appointed time does not have a lift, how long will it take them to get you a bus with a lift?? You have to factor that in.

When you are at the airport to get to your resort, it is frustrating to be delayed to get on with your vacation, but many buses will come by the airport and it shouldn't be too long before one with a lift will show up.

But when you are on your way back to the airport, fewer buses are dispatched to the individual resorts and it could be disastrous if there is a mixup/delay getting a lift bus to your resort.

Wilth 2/3's of the buses with lifts the wait would not be that bad. We were out front 45 minutes early, since we had nothing else to do, and during that time 8 buses came and went. Yes 8 in 45 minutes. I'm not sure how many had lifts since I wasn't really paying attention. And I'm sure it depends on the resort but you could always ask one of the other drivers to radio and make sure that the bus you'll be on has a lift.
