Anyone use Lynx Buses?

We are arriving to DW the end of February staying at the Hampton Inn Orlando/Lake Buena. The hotel shuttle only leaves at certain times that may or may not work for us depending on the day. I was thinking of getting a Lynx bus pass so that if we want to go to DTD or another place, we have an option. They supposedly leave ever 30 minutes. Plus, when we were last at DW we had to wait 1 hour for a Disney shuttle due to the amount of people.

Anyway, has anyone ever used Lynx? What was your experience? Would you recommend?

My family of 3 used the Lynx bus 50 last year during our trip when we stayed on Palm Parkway. It was wonderful for those times that the hotel shuttle doesn't fit your schedule. It has 2 stops at DTD and then goes on to the TTC, where you can catch a bus to anywhere. I definitely will be getting passes for our trip at the end of Feb. The drivers were also nice and helpful.

They've just increased service on that line, "Link 50". It now runs every 20 minutes during peak hours, mornings & evenings.

They do not stop at the parks, only at DTD & TTC. From TTC, you can ride the monorail to Epcot, or the monorail (when running) or Ferryboat to MK. There are also buses from TTC to MK during the monorail shutdown and on very busy days when the monorails & Ferryboats can't handle the crowds.

To get to DHS or AK after 9 a.m., you will need to first travel from TTC to MK, as buses to those parks no longer run from TTC. But you'd probably have to do the same with the hotel shuttle, as well. Before 9 a.m., the DHS & AK buses load at both MK & TTC.

If you plan to use Lynx on more than a few days, definitely order weekly passes in advance on their web site, for convenience & possible money savings. You can't buy the passes on the bus or anywhere on WDW property.

We just got back from WDW and I wanted to update our experience with Lynx. We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites and the lynx bus stop is about a minute walk from the hotel. Bus 50 will take you to DTD or the TTC. From the TTC you can then take monorails to Epcot or MK. When traveling to AK or HS we would take the 50 to DTD and then take a bus from there to Sarasota Springs Hotel and then take a direct bus those parks. Sounds like a lot but it's not. Basically, Lynx was a necessity! Buy a pass online before you leave and you won't regret it!! Esp for those staying at or near Hawthorn Suites.
