Anyone use Hotwire to rent a car at the Sanford Airport

We are going from May 8th to the 18th. Currently have a rental through Dollar. However, Hotwire rate is MUCH lower than I can find anywhere. Like a savings of $150.

I will be renting with a debit card. I see there is an option on Hotwire to only show results that accept Debit cards with round trip ticket information.

What rental agencies are the usual results for Sanford? I usually use Dollar with the debit card with no issues.

If I do use Hotwire, Will the car agency still hold an additional amount on the card when we pick it up? But they shouldn't hold the rental amount as well since I already paid it. Am I assuming this correctly.

Never used Hotwire before but the savings is huge.

It's been awhile since I used Hotwire but, if you call some of the Agencies and quote the. Hotwire, they may have some codes to bring it down to that price. Another thought is I know Thrifty held $200 on my debit card, not the additional fee for rental. When I returned it they just did the rental amount releasing the hold.
I sign up on Alamo for insiders, email specials and watch this forum for the codes that are working. Also, if you get the MouseSavers news letter there are links and also codes to use.

I think there are just two rental places that take debit at Sanford, Enterprise and Alamo, Alamo did not hold, I don't recall Enterprise, but they could have.
