Anyone use Disney Movie Rewards?

I tried to log into my account last night but it says they have a Terms & Conditions change. I have to allow Disney to share my information with a 3rd party or I can not access my account.

That's extortion to me.

Doesn't this violates some privacy laws?

When I try to just to check off I understand the new policy but not allow a 3rd party know my info it will not allow me access to my account.

I believe it has to do with the new integration with Apple/iTunes and the new Disney Movies Anywhere feature & iTunes app. So if you enter one of those codes from a DVD or Blu-ray movie in iTunes, you'll have access to the streaming version from Disney.

It says "third party digital distributors with whom you link your Disney account", so it's not like you're allowing Disney is sell your information to random third parties. It sounds like the reason is what TheBum is talking about.

The streaming thing is not available in Canada.... I am in Canada.

I don't like the wording they access to my account. I have credit card information there, address, phone number, etc.

To be honest then, I don't see what the issue is. It says "third party digital distributors with whom you link your Disney account". Since this streaming thing isn't available in Canada, then you would have no reason to link your Disney account with iTunes. And besides, iTunes would already have that information.

Because I have credit card information, address, and other personal information. It will get shared with them wither or not I go with the streaming. It should be my choice to share information or not.

Your info is being data mined every where you go, FB being one of the worst culprits. Not that that makes it ok, but sadly, that's the truth. Can you remove at least your credit card info from DMR?

The way around it is just not link anything. You're making way more out of this than what it is.

You seem to be missing the part about "third party digital distributors with whom you link your Disney account". If you're not linking your Disney account with third party digital distributors, then who is Disney sharing your information with?

I think that is what I will have to do if I want to keep using DMR.
