Anyone use Bare Minerals Escentuals products?

I love the way BE makes my skin look for a few hours .... what can I use to make it last longer?

I always use mineral veil after moisturizer, before applying color, then again when I'm finished to set everything. HTH!

Got it off ebay. $30 for a BE brush and sample sizes of 2 foundations, warmth, mineral veil, blush, bisque and 2 eyeshadows. I thought this was a pretty good deal. I rarely wear makeup because I can't stand the feel of it so I'm excited to try this.
Thanks for the enabling ladies.

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this but I found mixing a little mineral veil with the fairly light foundation (or the foundation for your skin tone) helps conceal dark circles under the eye. I use the maximum concealer brush. :)

Oh wow! I just found this thread! I cannot say enough good things about this makeup. When I moved to Florida, I had such problems with my regular foundation. It would run, clog pores, and was just a mess with the heat and humidity down here. I couldn't possibly imagine that a "powder" alone could cover, conceal, and look that good! I REFUSE to use any other make up now! I love love love it!!! If you're in town you can buy it at the Florida Mall.

Exactly how do you use this set:

* Foundation
* Bronzer
* Veil

What order and any certain procedures?

Foundation all over the face and neck first, bronzer (go light with it!!) across cheeks (think blush), bridge of nose and forehead, light dusting of veil all over to seal it.

Has anyone noticed that the main ingredient in Mineral Veil is corn starch? Well, I'm almost out of MV and thought I'd try just plain corn starch, from the pantry. It works. It's a great substitute, in a pinch.

Hi everyone, I haven't read all this since I posted, but I wanted to give you all a heads up that Amazon (.com) is now carrying Bare Escentuals at a pretty good price... I'm actually pretty happy about it! :)

Have a great day!

For those who order on ebay, can you give me a name (post here or pm me) of a good seller that you've had experiences with.

How interesting! Thank you!

Try ebay seller funwithmakeup. She sells mineral makeup that is not Bare Escentuals but trust me, it's extremely comparable. I have been using Bare Escentuals for over a year but it gets expensive for me because both my teenagers like it too. So, I decided to try this and I got a full set, concealer, foundation, two blush colors that I use wet for eye shadow, bronzer and mineral veil for only $19.99. She also includes brushes but the only one I like is the eye shadow one. The real Bare Escentual brushes are a must have.

But, for the money, this stuff is great! For $19.99, you might as well try it.

Okay. I need some help. Just ordered BE from QVC last week and everything arrived today. I tried some foundation and veil and didn't notice much difference to my face, but I reallly only used a LITTLE, maybe not enough? I have the following products, and am not sure how/what order to use them. Any suggestions?

FYI...I am a natural blonde...blonde eyebrows...fair skin with a few age spots/blemishes to conceal...as well as dark circles under my eyes (DH is quite the snorer! :rotfl: ) I don't wear much make-up usually...just pressed powder, a little bronzer, mascara and lip color. I use Mary Kay Oil Control lotion/moisturizer before applying anything...if that matters. I tend to have oily/shiny skin. :blush:

Kit contains:
Fairly light/light foundations
bisque-original
mineral veil-original
glee--is this like a blush?
Also have the face brush and two-end brush that came with bisque
HOW DO I USE THESE? :confused3 Is Glee like warmth...I hear lots of good things about that, but didn't want to order it as it sound like a combo of the MV and Glee.

Also have the following the came in the kit, but I'm not too worried as to how to use these:
masacara
2 eye shadows
lip tint/gloss/stick

Thanks to anyone that can help! :wave: :woohoo: :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Fairly light/light foundations - apply one/both/mixture of both over mineral veil and buff buff buff. It takes a little while.

bisque-original - I use as concealer for spots and under eyes.

mineral veil-original - because you are oily, use this all over your face, it will help prevent shine. You may use as a finishing powder as well, after your foundation.

glee--is this like a blush? - Yes, I use it that way!

Also have the face brush and two-end brush that came with bisque - the two end brush is for foiling (wet application method for eye shadow) and for blending.

Also have the following the came in the kit, but I'm not too worried as to how to use these:
masacara
2 eye shadows (goes with your brush)

Has anyone tried the new Neutrogena mineral makeup? I have super sensitive skin and rosacea, so I can't wear most makeups without breaking out. I was thinking of getting a mineral makeup and the new Neutrogena is fairly reasonably priced.

I haven't tried Neutrogena's, but I have the Physicians Formula brand and I really like it. I will probably try Neutrogena also. I also have rosacea, and it does a great job covering the redness, and I have had less break outs using this type of makeup than liquid foundations.

I got my kit as well, my ds girlfriend was over, and she had always wondered about it - so I did a mini make under (she's blonde, I'm med.) She was amazed - the glee really looked good on her, I had some summer bisque and used it to conceal the under eyes, and some of her blemishes, she was shocked!! She also loved that it all had an spf in it - then I did her eyes with the eye colors in the kit, but I got my pink/rose (forget the name) to make a dramatic foil on her eye lid - it is like an eyeliner - gorgeous effect on her!!

I told her she could go to Ulta to experiment with colors, as well as Sephora, and I started with the basic kit, but I think the specials they run on QVC are an amazing bargain!! (even more so for me when qvc mentioned I had a credit!! lol)

I tried the new Loreal Bare Minerals the other day and I LOVE it. It's a bit pricey (and small) but I love the look and feel of it.

Love the stuff.. Even though after purchasing my kit the brush was left out. I emailed and they never did responde. You can also buy it cheaper on ebay and seperately..

Does anyone have the refillable compact thing? How does that work?
