Anyone use a Step for Aerobics?

anyone use a step for aerobics? I just ordered a 5 pack of workout dvds with Jillian form the Biggest Looser. I need her to kick my butt. I didn't realize I needed a stepper (is that what you call it ). I am looking online for deals and didnt realize they were so much. Also most I see go to 200 pounds and I need it to hold a little more.. for atleast a few months lol

Are there any home items you can use for the same effect?
 
Hmmm, I'm not certain. Whatever it is you want it to be stable. I've found that sometimes at least in the beginning that I didn't need the steps, b/c I could not do the things on flat land!

I didnt know Jillian had DVD's thats fantastic. Im gonna have to look into that. But as for steps, they only add more resistance. You dont need to do any aerobic exercise with a step. I find adding ankle weights do a similar trick. Instead of stepping up, just walk a step and then step back, or side to side. Same idea. Just pick up those knees :thumbsup2
 
I ordered these as well just the other day off of amazon.com. I can't wait to get them. I didn't know they ask you to get a stepper either. I know our Wal-Mart has one but haven't looked at the weight limit on it. Hope it is over 200lbs as well. I like the weight on the legs though that mystic posted. I will have to try those when I need to if I can't get a stepper either.
