I am wondering if anyone has done this successfully and if they used a day on the pass and then upgraded or upgraded before they used the ticket. If so, what was the difference you paid? Did they give you the full value?

I did this in July. I bought my Parksaver tickets, used one day, and upgraded to a gold AP outside of Hollywood studios. I've heard that you do not have to use the first day but the line was long at the guest relations window when we got to the park so we decided to just upgrade after we left the park.

We just upgraded parksaver hoppers 2 weeks ago (but only paid like $385 for them at the time that I ordered them). ANYWAY, no problems upgrading to the DVC Gold pass. Did it at the front gate Guest Relations at Epcot before going in. We paid exactly what I expected to pay ($117 and some change for each one). Don't tell them you want to bridge the tix just tell them you want to UPGRADE them. I think the word bridge confuses some of the CM's.

That's exactly what I plan on doing when we go in Feb. Already bought our tickets from Parksavers. Good to hear that it's been working out.

I upgraded three tickets last Saturday. No issues. They were price bridged correctly.

What ticket did you get for 285? I think the cheapest one I saw before the price increase is $385 for the 4+3 days PH.
I did my upgrade early Sep and no issue whatsoever. Done it in HS Guest relation inside the park.

That was a typo - thought I'd fixed it to $385 but guess it didn't save. (I was on my phone.) I'll try to edit again.

If you upgrade to the Gold Pass now, would you get the 13 month deal?

We were able to use the price of the multi-day park hopper ticket towards the price of the DVC platinum pass. I had already determined how much I would owe in order to cover the "missing" amount. The Cast Member asked for exactly that figure. I didn't have to cajole, convince or otherwise have a discussion other than here's my tickets, my DVC card, my ID and my credit card. :) Hopefully you'll have an easy time of it as well.

If I needed to have further conversation, I was prepared to show the current cost of the park tickets, the DVC pass and the price difference between them in a cheerful, helpful manner. :groom:

I renewed three gold passes in September with unused tickets. They kept trying to value them at 396.00 and told me I had purchased them from a broker. I ended up at guest relations at the international gateway at EPCOT to finally get it done. The cast member there did not think the 396.00 was right and upped the ticket value to the correct amount. So I ended up paying under 30.00 per ticket to renew. Perfect in my opinion since I had paid 369.00 per ticket from Boardwalk Ticketing when they were still around. Almost like getting that 399.00 annual pass deal again. Almost. Just have the math for the amount you should be paying and keep trying until someone gives you the correct amount. Best advise I have gotten from this board!

I upgraded the PS tickets in September to the Gold pass. Originally the CM quoted a higher amount to upgrade but I kindly asked her to double check. She went to a back room area and came back and apologized. The cost per ticket to upgrade was $117 and she gave us 3 anytime fast passes because she felt bad about being incorrect. This was at guest relations in HS.
