I agree. I would think that with all of us trying to get through, one of us would have made it at some point. Must be some kind of problem with either thier phone system, or the network carrier.
Ahhh... there's a reason for this. I've been trying for the last half hour. I figured I would be after the morning rush. Perhaps I'll wait til tomorrow.
I cannot believe what I just did!! I finally got through (11:52 EDT) and when I was going through the prompts I pushed the "off" button and disconnected myself!!!! AARRGGHH!!
I called the main DVC number this AM and they advised me NOT to call MS today unless I was booking the cruise...today is the first day and they are swamped!...so I'll just wait until later in the week......
I've been calling MS all week to transfer my OKW reservation to BCV for this October. I only had more night to transfer over today and tried calling at 9am and couldn't get through on the 800 number or the 407 number. I couldn't even get on the DVC website. I was so worried because I only had this one last night to transfer from OKW to BCV and didn't want to miss out.
Luckily I finally got through around 11am and was able to transfer that final OKW night to BCV. The MS CM did confirm that the busy signals was caused by people calling to book the Med Cruise.
I tried a couple time periods today- from 3pm to 4pm eastern time and again right at 5pm eastern time, only ever got busy signals. Gave up and used the Web form at the DVC site to ask my question.
Only the third time I've called into member services. I really do hope that this was anomalous because of the Med cruises. I normally don't have a problem interacting with DVC via the web site, but for some time sensitive reservation questions it is nice to get a live body.
It also goes to show how many people use their points to book the cruises. I think that is one of the reasons why they opened the window to 24 months because so many DVC members will use points on cruises and it is a very good deal for Disney.
