Anyone try to extend their stay with upgrade rates?

I was just wondering if anyone that originally had CBR ressies and took advantage of deluxe upgrade tried to extend their stay at the same rate and if so did they allow you to do so?We were originally staying 5 nights(staying 3 nights in St.Pete)and now are considering staying the full 8 nights in WDW instead.Can we get the same rate or will we be charged more?Also considering splitting the stay between AKL & Poly instead of all 8 nights at Poly.
I know NOTHING about AKL so does anyone have a link to a sight with lots of info?Do savannah rooms have the bunk bed option?And of course-WHERE DO I REQUEST TO STAY?HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't help with the rate, but usually your entire stay at one resort will be at one rate, so it's worth a try. I doubt you will be able to split your stay and get that same rate. Anyway, I can tell you that there are absolutely Savannah rooms with bunk beds. The regular rooms sleep 4, but the deluxes with bunk beds usually also have a day-bed and sleep 5. That's what we had. I got it!4 nights AKL and 4 nights Poly!I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!
Requested bunk beds on zebra trail-keeping my fingers crossed!

I was wondering the same thing! How exciting that they let you do that. I'm wondering whether I should try that too. Right now I have three nights at the Poly and three nights at the Royal Pacific at Universal. I really don't want to spend three nights at Universal, but that was the minimum for getting the best rate. Since I'm getting about the same rate at the Poly, maybe I should just stay there all six nights. I don't know what to do!

First what I did was ask a CRO agent if he could extend our stay at the same rate-he was able to do so-so I now had 8 nights at the Poly for 116.00w/tax!!!!!Then,I asked if he was able to give me the same rate at AKL because that was originally one of my choices(savannah view was same rate as Poly garden).At that point he said he was unable to do that but the CBR team could handle that.So WORST case I would have had 8 nights at Poly-NOT BAD!
This morning I talked to someone on the CBR team and she saidABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM-and she changed it!!The only difference was I have to send in a second deposit for the AKL.It's in the mail!!!!
So TRY and if they say they can't for some reason try again!

I did it, antkim! Six nights at the Poly for $116/night. Thanks so much for your help. I never thought they'd allow me to extend at the same rate. I wanted to try to Royal Pacific over at Universal, but it's too hard to pass up the Poly for this price.

Glad I was able to help Pugsley!I never thought that I would be able to get that rate either but thought what the heck I'll give it a shot and BOY am I glad I did!And I REALLY can't believe I was able to split my stay!2 deluxe hotels in 1 trip!And this trip we were actually planning on spending more time at the resorts than in the parks-SOOO now we can really take advantage of these wonderful hotels and hopefully see all they have to offer!!!!Have a wonderful trip-I know December can't come soon enough for me!!!
