Anyone try the Wen Hair Care System?

DH and I are on vacation so of course I am sitting on the couch watching daytime TV I saw an infomercial for the Wen Hair Care System (with Laura Ingalls ). It looks pretty good, especially for me because my hair gets frizzy and is damaged from so much coloring and all of the heat products I use. I've seen this stuff before and I almost bought it but now I'm thinking about it again.

Anyone ever use this stuff? I think they sell it on QVC too.

$35.90 for a month of washing hair....yikes!

I hate paying shipping for things like this. I wish I could get a trial week of it for less or something.

My hair is very dry and can get frizzy in humidity and heat and I haven't found a great solution yet.

There was a thread about wen the other day on this board and because of it I went and bought it. I went to Amazon and they had different sizes that you could buy. They had a pack of three different formulas (6 oz) for $35. I tried it over the weekend and hated it. My hair felt so heavy and greasy. I was so disappointed. I'm going to try it again this weekend just to be sure. I'm also glad I tried it on a weekend because I ended up rewashing my hair because I couldn't stand how it came out. So if you want to try it I'd suggest looking at Amazon to buy a small bottle to see if you like it first before spending the money on a big bottle.

Ive been using it for just over a month and I really like it. I could tell a difference soon after starting Wen. It easier for me to just have to use one product in the shower instead of 2 or more. I have almost no frizz (haven't had bad weather yet though) and my hair is definately more healthy and better looking. I have even been able to skip a day of cleansing it. I used to be a wash every day kind of gal. The price does seem up there, but when I broke it down, it will be right about the same if not less. I got my first order for $29.99 (i think) and its lasted me for almost 6 weeks. The next shipment came automatically and was around $35. Its a 3 month supply. Thats under $12 a month. With what I was spending on shampoo and conditioner, its a deal. Plus I get the deep conditioner which I love. I can't live without the wide tooth comb now. And I have even grown to like the styling cream. I have yet to use the texture balm though.

Oh, and its Sweet Almond Mint that I use. My hair is shoulder length with lots of layers. Tons of hair and very thick.
