A friend of mine asked me to sit through this online class thingy about their products. Anyone every try them? Are they good? Worth the money? I'm not sure I would buy 35 points a month. I CVS and have massive stock on hand.
I hated this company. If you like paying way more than you need to for products, like having to buy stuff you don't need in order to hit your points, like having to remember to place an order for stuff you don't necessarily need or else be shipped stuff you REALLY DON"T NEED, then this is the company for you. Some of the products were good, but I didn't think any better than what I can get way cheaper at Sam's club on my own schedule. The dishwasher gel is DISGUSTING has a horrible odor and left a build up in my dishwasher. The hand soap had bad odor too.
I still have GOBS of the Sol-U-Mel stuff, and I have no idea what to use it for. Most concerning, a study was done recently that found that Mela oil (or tea tree oil) which is the staple of most of their products, causes breasts to develop on adolescent boys. After dicontinuing use of products containing tea tree oil it should go away though. I was using their products when I read this study and noticed that my 13 year old was starting to puff out in the nipple and breast area (man-****s - and he previously had NO issue with this!) . I stopped immediately and it has gone down.
They are a total hard-sales," prey on your friends for business", make it REALLY hard to discontinue the service company. I don't know how people who make their livings this way sleep at night or keep any friends. I know of people who have been guilted into going with the products because the sales people told them that the harsh cleaners they use in their homes could cause learning diabilites (do you know how high the odds are that the person they are talking to actually has a child with some type of disability?) So they immediately blame themselves and think that to be a good parent, they HAVE to use these products. It is cultish.
I do need to agree that the Renew lotion was great. My daughter has severe excema and this kept it in total check. When I run out of the stuff (in about 5 years

, I will probably buy more through a friend who gets Melaleauca, but would never sing up as a customer myself again.
Here is a link to the study I mentioned:
