I have really fair skin and I usually end up orange. I saw an ad for Natural Glow and was wondering how well it worked. I am hoping to find something to take away the fish underbelly whiteness of my legs and feet for when we are DW next month.

I am very fair also. I tried the fair color and although the color is good, I had alot of streaking. Luckily it washes off very easily. I like the spray-on airbrush stuff by Sally Hanson.

I used this last year and really liked it. the only thing I dont like is the smell, but all tanners have that smell.

I too am very fair, stick to the one for fair skin types and you should be o.k. I also agree the smell isn't the greatest, but no orange or streaking.

I am dying to hear more replies. I cannot go in the sun to tan (skin condition), so I need a self tanner. I was curious about Jergens Natural glow. So keep em coming with the responses. :cool1:

Love it love it love it!

No streaks because it is so gradual.

DH thought it smelled good. :confused3 He's wierd like that! I told him if he wanted to he could slather some on me tonight. ;) ;)

I like Olay-Quench-they have one called touch of Sun Radiance Reviver.

I tried it for two days and can't get past the smell...yuck. Also, seemed to streak and seemed kinda orange.

:wizard:

Is the smell really that bad? I can just see me snortin' bottles at the Wal-Mart!!

I just started using it today... I can't notice any color yet, but definitely no streaking and I thought it smelled ok. I used the one for medium skin tones, but I am kinda fair.

yes-today
And all day I kept smelling this weird smell that I couldnt place and finally realized its the lotion. Dont like the smell at all.

I have a little sample bottle for medium skin tones and tried a dab on the inside of my wrist last night. I did stink something bad. I then forgot about it, and today while in a meeting, I noticed a HUGE orangy spot on the inside of my wrist :lmao: Glad I just put a dab on, and didn't rub it all over myself. I have never actually found anything that didn't turn me orange.

I used the one for light skin because I needed to wear a skirt the other day. It worked well (took about two days or four applications), but it made me break out, and it smells like sweat.

it isn't just the smell out of the bottle for me - it was the smell when it was on my body...it sounds weird, maybe, but I smelled like I wasn't clean although I was...couldn't stand the idea of going out of the house smelling like that - and it is pretty strong and obvious.

I dont think it smells that bad - but I use self tanners all the time, and I use them at night (I guess I sleep through the funk :confused3 )

I love self tanners. Youre never going to be *brown* with a self tanner....and if evenly applied, youre not going to notice *orange*...

Easiest way to avoid streaks is to be generous with the self tanner, and apply moisturizer on dry places...feet, elbows, hands, etc...after you apply self tanner.

Im really digging L'oreal's stuff in a can, that you can spray upside down, right now... I use that with the Jergens stuff - works good.

I used it a little last summer and again last night. It has the self-tanner smell, but no worse than any other self-tanner. It reminds me of tanning oil for a tanning bed (I know, I only went like 5 times in my teens, I came to my senses). I do have one little "orangey" area on one ankle, but I think I can wash it off with no problem. I like it so far. I am VERY fair and used the medium, like others have said. I figured I'd have quicker results that way.

I was afraid to use it before the wedding last summer, so I went pale. I tried the foam from Neutrogena before my portraits and it's safe to say I screwed that up BAD. So, I couldn't bring myself to try again before the wedding. Anyway...It's fine though. It's really gradual and it's as easy to use as lotion.

Ugh...I threw my bottle out. The smell doesn't just stay for a little while, it is persistent throughout the day. I would be doing something and say to myself, "What is that awful smell?" Then I realized it was me. I would rather be my fair-skinned self, even if my legs blind fellow beachgoers with their whiteness.
