Anyone try Hoodia or NV supplements?

I was wondering if anyone has tried the NV diet/beauty pills or any Hoodia supplements and if they helped you lose weoght? I'm having a terible time losing weight because I have a crazy Thyroid (whole other story). Anyway I was thinking of going and spending $59 on hoodia 911 online or $25 on NV and if it is unlikely to help I would rather not waste $'s on it. Aslo wondering about side effects. Thanks

I am using the hoodia pills from Costco and they do help with suppressing my appetite, DH also uses them and says it works. I have heard from others that they thought it didn't work, so maybe it depends on what your expectations are. By that I mean help suppress your appetite ..... or make it go away entirely. It's probably better as an appetite suppressant.
