Anyone try Doc's advice at OKW?

Doc posted awhile back about his experience at OKW (wasn't it you Doc??). And a front desk manager insisted you could fax in your requests to the front desk even though everybody tells you NOT too??

Normally we don't care much but we are getting two rooms this trip (bringing my husband's parents and sister's family) and want them to hopefully be in the same building and non-smoking (also want to blow the in-laws socks off!).

I don't want to tick off OKW so I was curious if anyone has tried this approach since his post?

I have not faxed a request, and we've been happy with every room we've gotten. I doubt you'll have much trouble with getting rooms "nearby", just make sure that both confirmations list that request. We've taken guests with multiple rooms often, and have aways been in either the same building or buildings next to each other...either way is convenient, and depending on specifics, the building next to each other can be better than in the same building.
