It looks interesting, but not cheap..

Anyone try it yet?

Yea or Nay ???

How much is it?

I seem to remember a similar product from the early 80's, but I don't know how well it worked.

It looks an awful lot like Lee Press On Nails to me!! Sounds like a pain in the butt.

I received a free sample from my agent and a co-worker and I tried it out. It was easy to apply and looked great. Since it was only on one finger I only kept it on for a week and it held up very well with washing dishing, shampooing hair and the every day grind. I took advantage of the two for $8 special and ordered two different colors. I am anxious to get them this coming week. My co-worker is sticking it out with hers, it has been on for 10 days and counting and as of yesterday and hers still looked good.

.

Reg. Price $8.00
Right now they're running an intro price of $4.99 or 2 for $8.99.

They are good for one "manicure", and I was thinking that I could get a ton of nail polish for that much money!!

Just wondering, they say - Press on - smooth out - done.... Hmmm... how much "smoothing out" does it take?

It makes me think it might be like when you see someone trying to darken car window with that cling stuff... Acckk.. they are smoothing out for a long time!!!

Or is it really easy?

One of my friends sells Avon and she had some samples. So I tried one out. I was impressed. It went on very easy and it looks very nice. Nothing like the press on nails in the past. It is more like a nail polish sticker. I had it on for a couple days before I removed it and it still looked as good as new. I just looked goofy with only 1 nail done so that is why I took it off after a couple days.

LOL - I am wearing the sample as well! It has been two weeks and counting. It was very easy to use and looks great. I confess to trying the press on nails years ago and these are different. They aren't a piece of stiff plastic. It's like a flexible film of polish. You peel off the paper - the stuff is very sheer - and stick it on. Then you take the excess off by running another fingernail along the edge. It looks like you painted it on!

I think the regular price is high, but the sale price was just right. :cool1:

Like I said, my co-worker and I both tried it and we both put it on with ease and without bubbles. You make sure your cuticle bed is push back, un-stick the polish like a bandaid (peeling off the back), line it up to your nail bed and smooth out. Once it is smooth you pull off the end (like tape from a dispenser) and turn the leftover under the nail. I then filed the end and cleaned the remainder off the bottom of the nail. We thought it was rather easy, but we only did one nail each.

That is why I only lasted a week, I got tired of seeing the one nail done so I took it off since I was satisfied with the results.

I sell Avon, and I tried them. I wasn't impressed. I took them off a few minutes after applying them. They didn't fit too well, I just couldn't get them to. Every time I would bump my finger on something, it left a dent in the polish strip. If you want to try them and aren't sure, Avon is really good about returns even if you've used the product, they should refund you if you aren't happy.

Thanks for all your replies!!

You guys are fast!!

I think I will give it a try... Hmmm... I can't imagine returning the "blank" nails...

LOL They'll return your money, but won't want them back.

I had no luck with my sample--I put it on just before lunch and it had chipped twice before the end of the school day and was off by evening!
I wonder if I did something to make it not stick right but the Avon lady was there when I put them on.
I can't even put fake nail polish on right! :sad2:

mine lasted 18 days! gardening without gloves, chores etc. I am NOT easy on my hands. None of my nails broke for two weeks, nothing peeled. I did put some clear polish on the second week. And there were some cracks. I have NEVER had polish last that long.

As far as putting it on - I did the first nail - then re-read directions, scubbed nails, pushed back cuticles. not all went on perfect, I don't think I would want to go w/ a dark color because if you mess up it, it is noticable. I used the twinkling pink.

I just received more today

I received a full set of the dark nails yesterday. Put them on last night....did take me about 45 minutes, but I am a perfectionist at heart. Looking fab today, hoping they last like the sample did.

I ordered the pale pink too, but when I got them they were too close to my flesh color so I am exchanging them for the mauve.

My Avon rep gave me a full size sample set as well. I gave them to my DD13- much easier and less messy for her to use :cool1: She's had them on for about a week, and they still look pretty good :)
